I am just really excited that this will be the 20th anniversary of the Brickyard Invitational in Indy. Those of you that know me understand that it is very personal to me as my Coachie wanted a senior softball tournament in our city. He went to Rick Seifman with the idea, and they worked with Tim Fishburn to make it happen. To me it is a legacy that he left for those of us as his beneficiaries. Thanks to all of you that make it happen every year.
Nancy, didn't realize it has been 20 years - congrats, my fifth year of Senior ball have enjoyed starting each season there as the crew does a great job getting fields ready in even some years when the weather has been bad. See ya out there.

And I'm sure it will rain on that weekend as well. That seems to be another tradition for the Brickyard. We joke about it every meeting at the beginning of the year when we schedule tournaments. Hopefully we'll all catch a break this year with the weather there. Enjoy the 2019 season!
BH44, I look forward to seeing you. Coachie was a lot older than me, but he loved senior softball which got me into it very young. I soon learned to love it too. The crew is awesome at Midwest Sports Complex, rain or shine.
STL10, well, we have had more years without rain than with, but you are right that we do get it sometimes. I have even seen it snow in May before but only once at the ball fields and not during the tournament. This is the Midwest after all. At least it is not like the year that we went to Pensacola years ago, and they had to redo the bracket because a hurricane took away some diamonds.
Everyone is a lot older than you, Nancy! ... I'll be there as a Director this time around, and was very happy to see this one on my 2019 assignments list! ... Ha!
Dave, that used to be true, but I keep getting older, and younger players are always turning 50. Thanks for that, you know that I know the rain doesn't show up when you are here.
Now if we can just get neck10 and coop3636 to join the party.
Why are the 60’s scheduled on Wednesday & Thursday?
This will cause us to play somewhere else... That will be our 55 & 60 teams
Hey UIC, 60s playing during the week at Brickyard isn't a new development. That has been happening for the past 5 years.
Still would like to know why the 60’s are scheduled on Wednesday / Thursday.....New or not!
Region4UIC the 60's have to play during the week due to the success of the tournament. The complex they use has a limited number of fields. I used to go to this one but stopped when you had to start on Saturday so early the lights were on and had games scheduled as late as 9:30PM. Instead of going to a larger complex (don't know if there is one in Indy) or limiting the number of teams (I recommended this a couple of times) they decided to move the 60's from the weekend to the weekday schedule.
Is the bracket out for the 20th Annual Brickyard Invitational?
When will game times be out for the Brickyard ?
Managers already got them
Yes, Managers just got the email yesterday with game times but why not post the game times on the website so everyone can see what is going on. I don't think you appreciate how many people need to see game schedules ASAP as families are trying to make plans around the schedule.
I completed the schedule after midnight last night, well after the staff left for the weekend. I do not have the ability to post documents to the website so the best available option was to email the file directly to the managers.
The staff will post the Brickyard schedule to the website when they get to work on Monday. In the meantime, everyone will be happy to know that S2 begins on Saturday morning. No games are scheduled for Friday.
