Oct. 11, 2025 BH44	Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Purposeful Stalling Right on Dave - we were happy he let us play 7 even though we would have won after 6 lost in 7 but got revenge and sent that team home later in the tournament - we were very pleased with the umpires we had that weekend they did a great job.
Oct. 10, 2025 BH44	Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Purposeful Stalling John they did in our game in Vegas, the pitcher was taking his time stalling cuz we were close to the time buzzer going off - it did before he threw a pitch so the 6th would have been open, the ump called both managers and said pitcher took too long we will play 7 innings. Good that we played 7 innings bad for my team as we were leading after 6 but lost after 7 LOL

July 29, 2025 BH44	Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Milwaukee Tourney It was disappointing to say the least - the only good was it was for charity but to be under a SSUSA tournament they need to follow the rules. First there was a set schedule but then on Tuesday it was changed without any message to the managers. I found out from another manager who just happened to check the site. My team went from playing in the 55's which we are to being moved to 60's and giving all teams 5 runs - then add in only playing 50 minutes hard stop with no open - they also used a non-sanctioned ball, no courtesy foul, and umps not knowing the rules. The Saturday nonplaying was the biggest joke as they kept saying a big storm will be here at 11:00 well why not play until the rain comes the teams are already there - there were no puddles on the field - they were ready to go. The girls that stayed at my hotel played they were just delayed until 11 but played the rest of the day. My favorite was on Sunday as all these crazy rules were happening like Pope down by 3 with 2 on against Alliance and no out hit the magic 50 minutes, game was call with guy in batter's box - are you kidding me? The park was nicely decorated with banners and American flags around the complex but on Sunday by 1:00 they taken everything down - we still had games scheduled at 3 & 4:00 - I guess they wanted to get out of there as quick as they could - we helped them out by forfeiting our last game so the team from Minnesota could get a head start on the travels. Will not be returning
July 22, 2025 BH44	Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Rosters different Age Group SSUSA, Milwaukee Classic just now changed their schedule from all 55s playing together and all 60s playing together to now 55 & 60 AAA teams play together. Can a player who is on a 55 roster and a 60 roster who was planning on playing in both 55 & 60 tournament now that they are in the same tournament split his time between both teams?
May 19, 2025 BH44	Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Equalizers The part of the equalizer that I don't like is when the higher-class team has to give 5 runs or extra player and play the lower-class homeruns. It should be one or the other. Why get double penalizes for signing up for tournament that doesn't have enough teams in your class. Don't mind as much in seeding but don't like in bracket games

ISSA money grab / SSUSA you have to earn it.

Sept. 20, 2022 BH44	Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Just heard this about BLD Yes, there this past weekend - they were bought by a new group and they will update the park including the fields. I thought it was interested that fields that the MLB currently play on like Wrigley field are now called by the city name like Chicago and the took down the details of the field like no fans in the bleachers at Wrigley and the Scoreboard has been painted over but still have the vines - I was told MLB wanted compensation so they were told to remove. Fields like Crosby that are no longer MLB fields have their detail.
Sept. 20, 2022 BH44	Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Session 1 - World Series Recap Just got back from the World Series in Vegas and here is my feedback 1. Tournament Directors did a great job at the two sites I was at (BLD & Sunset) 2. Umpires were the best I have seen there in years - they were all knowledgeable and worked hard on the fields 3. The ball was fine - held up throughout the weekend a lot better than some of the other Association's ball. Here is what could use some help 1. Updating scores - know it is brought up every year but still don't understand - take a picture at the end of the day of the brackets and post - some Directors have done in past years - this year nothing except a partial update on the Saturday of some of the age groups. 2. No concession stands at Sunset or Dessert Breeze - how does a park have a large tournament and not want to staff to sell concessions. At Sunset we had a food truck in the parking lot, a ice cream cart in the park, and guy and his kids selling slices of pizza for $10. BLD of course had theirs going - $17.50 for a pitcher of beer - ouch. Overall, we made it to Sunday and had a great time - thanks to all the hard work that Dave and his team put in to run it. Joe
