Wish you guys had the ISSA system - up to the minute results as games finished two weeks ago at that TOC and all year. It even figures out seeding after seeding games :)

Are you major plus in all the other association too - ISSA, NSA, GSL - you could play with a team in those.

The only I time I have seen teams complain about a pitcher wearing a shield on their helmet is when it is mirrored and the sun at that time of the day is reflecting off back at the batter.

I heard that there will not be a Brickyard Classic this year in Indianapolis - is that true?

Thanks,

Discussion: 2020 schedule

If you look from year to year, the tournaments are normally the same weekend each year so it should be easy to plan the upcoming year before the actual dates are released. I have done that the last 4 years and all have been on the same weekend as the prior year. Just an FYI if you can't wait.

Hello Dave,

Can a 60 year old that plays on a 50 AAA also play on a 60 AAA team?

Thanks,
J

Discussion: Eastern Championship

Hello Tim,

Want to start by saying we enjoyed coming out to Virginia this past weekend and playing at Bolen. Great new complex. Like to know your thoughts on calling someone out of the box when there is no box? We had the same umpire for 4 straight games and on Saturday in the 12:30 game where the box was long gone from the 8 o'clock game, we have our 4 hitter called out for being out of the box when there wasn't a box and the umpire had watch him bat the same way for 3 previous games. This occurred right after the opposing coach complained that we walk into the ball and saying we must be out of the box. We went from a possible big inning to an inning killer. My question is how can you call out of the box if there is no box? I asked the ump and he said he imagined where the box might be to make his call? Overall we enjoyed our visit to the East and would probably come back next year just not happy with the outcome and call playing against a local team. One other thing the ISA ump in the ISA shirt didn't think he had to call illegal pitches until we asked him and he talked to the other ump, not sure why any ump would ever think you wouldn't call illegal pitches.

Thanks,
Joe

Kenny and the staff at the Quad City Classic this weekend in Rock Island you battled one storm after another and you did an outstanding job getting those fields ready for us to play each day. Thanks for the outstanding effort it is much appreciated as our other ones have been rained out this year. Thanks again and we will see you next year.

First Brickyard Classic and now Milwaukee Classic cancelled due to weather. Mother Nature doesn't like the Midwest this year.

BIGHURT - like your nickname, I was there Friday around noon, puddles everywhere, they brought the pumps out and by 6 pm they were gone and fields drying. They played league games on fields 3 & 4 that night. Rain for Saturday kept changing from not much to ending by Noon. Unfortunately, it continued to mid afternoon and I believed they worked on the fields after that with the pumps again but didn't dry out over night, nothing they could do when they got there early that morning but cancel. It is the Midwest and weather is hit or miss, there are not many tournaments this early here so that is why teams go. Disappointed that we didn't play but would have been more disappointed if they cancelled and the fields became playable - just my opinion. Thanks for trying Mike Hula, see you later in the year. I do wish the complex would repave the entrance, ever year it gets worse and worse. We also play Milwaukee every year and same story, rain almost every year.

Dave,

Agree with you, rain was suppose to stop by noon yesterday but continued on until 3. They tried to get the fields ready but just too much rain all week. Mike did a great job keeping us informed and certainly wouldn’t want any of my players get hurt out there today. Midwest weather this time of the year - nothing you can do.

Nancy, didn't realize it has been 20 years - congrats, my fifth year of Senior ball have enjoyed starting each season there as the crew does a great job getting fields ready in even some years when the weather has been bad. See ya out there.

Dave - What would a 55 Major+ player be considered on a 50 AAA team with the 55 player being a rating of 8 and the 50 team being a 7 would he be one of the three higher level players?

Thanks

Hello Nancy, you and I have never met and normally I don't respond much on this board but your response hit a nerve. Not sure whoever on all these posts ever said it was our right to see scores. We all play in these tournaments and have many friends that play at different age groups and for our own enjoyment like to see how they are doing. As Tim did a great job on his own keeping the tournament he was doing updated and was appreciated as I friend playing in 60 AAA. As you all have stated many times your software can't give us want we would like so can you explain what is so hard at the end of the day for the director to take out his or her phone take a picture and post it, not asking for much more than that as I have seen numerous people ask? Have enjoyed SSUSA so far but as a business man I also look to try to give my customers what they want. I know this might seem silly to the powers to be but it is an issue that I have seen now for 4 years since join. Maybe we will run into each other some day, apologize for my rant if I see you I will introduce myself and buy you a beverage :)
