I have to agree that I was too disappointed in this years tournament mainly to the fact that very few teams signed up. In our division there was only 5 one being a Major Plus team that ended up winning it and the seeding games with the 40 Major teams. Overall, Saturday weather wasn't the greatest but really didn't rain. Would have preferred not playing until 10:00 at night as the lighting there is the worst. But at least we played and it was good to see old friends again from other teams. Good luck to all this year and stay safe!

I would love that any TOC tournaments that bats are checked and kept in barrels and brought out to the field when the teams play like they do in the Majors. I know it is unrealistic when say for the worlds there are 700+ teams and you would need staff to check at each complex not mention storing all those barrels when teams aren't playing but it sure would be nice to know as a pitcher that the batter doesn't have a hot bat to shoot a rocket back at you. Tired of watching the missiles thru the infield or the 400 ft. bomb seeing more and more of that lately and agree to post before see lots of batters hit a monster homerun then watch their bat get put back in the bag as fast as they can. Good luck all this year stay safe.

Great Job Dave with the updates!

Question, if a team plays down to a lower age group and ends up winning that age group would they get moved up in their older age group? Example - 55 Major team being the same ratings as 50 AAA would win 50 AAA Worlds would the 55 Major team be moved to 55 Major Plus since a 50 AAA winning would get moved to 50 Majors and the same is 55 Major Plus?

Thanks

Discussion: Las Vegas

Dave,

What was the reason the Southwest Championship was cancelled at the same fields that we would play on a month later for the World Tournament? I know you say no worries but don't want to make my team buy tickets to come to Vegas if the same thing could happen for that one with teams coming from all over the U.S.

Has there been any talk of a problem holding the World tournament? We just had a positive test from a player from a Michigan team called Area 51 that was at the ISA/SSUSA World Series in Columbus, Indiana and I see that team is in the Northern Championship - will they be allowed to play in it?

Staff,

With the low turnout of teams (34 total) 26 for the weekend total for (50,55,60) and 3 complexes to play at will this be a two day tournament?

My team played last weekend in Missouri, it has only been 5 days and no issues with any of my players. Will and the staff did a great job running the tournament and teams followed the new restriction. Thanks for letting us play and hoping this continues throughout the summer.

Hello Office,

How are you handling registrations with new players? I have several players that are new to senior ball trying to get their cards and not sure if that when they sent in their info anything is happening with it as I think the office is closed?

Thanks

Appreciate the effort SSUSA, it is an individuals choice if you want to play or not. I like that they are trying to get us to have some season this year. I will be interested to see if the Worlds take place this year with all the teams, fans, and it being in Vegas. I am hoping so can't wait. Thanks Again !

Discussion: Ezra Alexander of Gray Ghost passed away

Sad news - The passing of Ezra Alexander, a long time softball player who ran the Gray Ghosts out of Indiana. Ran the Gary, Indiana park districts and coached and mentored many over his lifetime. Always a class act when playing against him and his teams. God Bless.
