Just a matter of time before SSUSA follows SPA

Well, ISSA cancelled their May tourney's earlier this week so did SPA "follow" ISSA? And SSUSA made the 60 day call in early March before new data came out so who is really following whom?

Softball is not the most important thing right now and businesses are having to make tough calls and this IS a business. My assumption is that the states and municipalities will drive this decision. Everything about what is going on is new and things are changing EVERY DAY so honestly being cautious is not a bad thing (IMHO).

IF we are playing at all in May or even in June I will be surprised, happy and grateful (def cautious), BUT surprised.

Stay safe everyone!

Ho and NY² ... SSUSA will continue it's leadership role in being responsive to the current medical crisis and the effects the COVID-19 pandemic has on the health and welfare of our membership ... Almost three weeks ago (March 16) we announced the impacts on the SSUSA schedule through the middle of May ... We continue to monitor real-time circumstances and evaluate all resultant options on a daily basis, continually refining our thinking ... As was done previously, direct email communication with the managers and players will provide updates as they become clear ... Please continue to heed the advice of the national and regional health and government officials in your area and be safe in your daily routines ...

WHOA-HO!! ... Relax ... If you re-read our note, nobody said you did, either! ... It's not anywhere near the top priority, based on some back-and-forth banter between NY² and mck71, to create an issue where none exists in our view ...

If your first reference WOULD have said MCK71 an NYGNY instead of HO and NY it would have been no problem.
So if that is what you meant MCK71 and NYGNY then excuse me.

No worries, but these last couple of comments wouldn't have been necessary if you hadn't done the old "READY..FIRE..AIM..OOPPPS!" thing ... Stay Healthy! ...

My apologies to all, honestly didn't mean much by anything other than this is simply softball, not life or death.

That said, I would be remiss to add that if you (Ho) didn't come on SSUSA site with SPA business and plugging your tourney (maybe that's NOT what you meant but it's what I read), then NYGNYY would have not commented and I would have had nothing to reply to? :-)

Again, stay safe all!
