GoPro's are cheap and can do wide angle. You dont need a new model, I use a gopro 5 and it does the job nicely.

I use a GoPro 5 as well, works great. You want one that has replacable batteries so you can video multiple games. I get 1 game per battery. Also look into getting a chain link fence mount. I found mine on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/BCM-1-Backstop-Camera-Mount-backstops/dp/B01LFBLWW2
