what's the call
Guys on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. A ball is hit to the ss, he fields the ball and sets up to throw the guy out trying to score from 3rd, as he goes to throw the guy going from 2nd to 3rd runs into(literally) and knocks the ball out of his hand. I know at this point it is a dead ball, runner is out, batter ?, the guy trying to score from 3rd must return to 3rd right ? Let me know thanks.

what's the call
When any call questioned on here " having seen the play as it happened" sometimes makes a difference. With that the way you described if I thought the runner ran into the fielder intentionally I would call runner going home out and call runner who ran into fielder out double play.

what's the call
tc4whir, as you describe it I have interference. Lead runner is out and the runner who interfered is out. Since there was 1 out, inning is over.

ib16.. just to let you know interference on a runner does not have to be intentional to get a double play.. I agree runner who interfered is out and also runner going home

B.J - Yes I know and have called it on the field and have had a coach say it wasn't intentional and I agreed with coach but still told him it didn't matter.
