Oct. 20 Tri18 352 posts | Pitching screen I haven't posted a lot about the topic until I finished trying this out but I have to say for around $80, these Powernet screens are hard to beat. They are lighter weight than the Pitch safe and some other brands but they cost 1/4th. I have found it to be durable enough to withstand round after round of Bp so I brought them in to my repertoire. They come with pins to secure them not the ground so they aren't knocked or blown over but I have found it just as easy to prop the Bp ball bag against the net and it works just fine. The set up is simple and quick and it takes down easily and is stored in a carry bag that comes with it. The entire screen and frame weighs just under 10 pounds so it stores simply in your trunk and is taken out and onto the field easily. If you have questions , want to see pictures, or need more information feel free to call me. Alan Tanner Team 1 Sports 561-718-7504 |

Oct. 20 taits Men's 65 4548 posts | Pitching screen IMO the Powernet is too wide for game use and like what was posted elsewhere needs to be grounded. Very wide ned and tall. Pitch safe is a little larger that mound dimension. long lastig unlesssomeone consistantly hit the wooden box. It will crack that... But I fixed ine for a team. Still in use I believe. that work to it was ovr 4 years ago. Used for leagues quite a bit in CA. |

Oct. 20 DieselDan Men's 75 602 posts | Pitching screen As heavy and narrow as the pitch safe screen is, there are times when windy a few rocks are needed to anchor it. |
Oct. 20 Tri18 352 posts | Pitching screen The Powernet I Protection screen is the one I have been testing. It is slightly narrower and slightly higher than the Pitch Safe model that is widely used. The Pitch Safe is definitely more heavy duty but after hundreds and hundreds of swings this Powernet seems to be holding its own. If it last HALF the life of a Pitch Safe and its a QUARTER or less of the price (80.00) it appears to me that it's worth considering for a player wanting a lightweight ez to use BP screen. Now safety is affordable which to me is a win- win for us players. Alan Tanner Team 1 Sports |

Oct. 21 StevenL.Imlay Men's 60 174 posts | Pitching screen You can use sandbags and that works well, maybe even better than the stakes. |
Oct. 21 Omar Khayyam 1357 posts | Pitching screen I've never seen this Powernet and am having a hard time visualizing it. Nonetheless, sandbags or stakes, seems like it will have a mobility problem. In our leagues we have left-handed pitchers and righties, guys who like to throw from 60 feet and those always on the rubber at 50. As a consequence, the screen gets moved around a lot, half-inning to half-inning. We use the older screen with four feet, not that heavy to move, and move it does! We get about 8-10 years service before it needs restringing, and it gets used about 12 hours a week, including batting practice. It is folded up and stored every day we play. It loses a bit of structural stability after 5 years, but still functions, even with a bit of a lean sideways of a couple of inches. |

Oct. 24 Tri18 352 posts | Pitching screen Shoot me an email or call me and I can send you pictures of it. It's easy to put up and take down. I just rest my BP ball bag on top of one of the legs and against the net and it works just fine. AT18 Tricoach18@att.net |
Oct. 24 Dbax Men's 65 2101 posts | Pitching screen I just bought a Powernet and Tanner Tee on EBay. Both were new and with free shipping. I have it set up in my backyard and love it. Banned in Arizona |
