When will the seed game schedule for the 65 teams be posted?
Capt Kirk
Notice the Northwest Tourn starts two days before Texas Tourn and the schedule was out on the 21st.
Seven (7) 65 teams are playing a six (6) game
round robin format, I like it.
Capt Kirk
Capt. I see the same ole stuff is happening there is 6 65AAA teams and one major 65 team and they put the major team in with the AAA;s seems to me that's not right a major team should not play in the same age division of AAA;s. this is a TOC birth so if there are no other 65 majors they have a free ride to the TOC. and this will make a difference in who wins the 65 AAA division.
Go on Larry, they are playing a round robin so they will play each team once, worst case is the runner up will get the TOC berth. I see this as the best of both worlds for all team involved.
Larry ... Re-read the Format section of the schedule once more to correct some misconceptions ...
• The 65-Major team is GIVING the equalizer in ALL games, so no imbalance there;
• Every 65-AAA team is playing them ONCE, so no imbalance there;
• The 65-Major team is the ONLY team playing four games on Thursday (everyone else plays only three) ... Advantage: 65-AAA's;
• The 65-Major team must WIN to earn awards OR a T.O.C. bid ... No guarantee of awards or T.O.C. bid for them just by showing up; and
• If the 65-Major DOES win, Runner-up receives 65-AAA T.O.C. bid ...
There are no other scheduling options for them since it is the stated desire by many (most?) teams to play only a two-day format for the 65's and, more senior groups ... We have a high degree of confidence that this is the most fair structure for the 65+ Men's Division ... Good luck!
Last year we were not allowed to bring in our own drinks(water, gatorade, etc)into the park, with you warning due to high temperatures will this be the rule, if so this could lead to problems getting enough liquids into players systems???
JBTexas ... This message has been posted on most tourney bracket boards in geographic areas that are prone to high temperatures ... Although we always do our best, in conjunction with the park personnel, we will not always be able to meet the timing expectations of everyone ... Ultimately, the personal hydration of the player rests with that individual ... Less than lady-like or gentlemanly behavior toward park and tourney personnel will not help the situation ... Be prepared to always protect your own health whenever possible, whether that is by bringing your own fluids or by purchasing when necessary ...
Since the Major team already won a TOC bid as a AAA team; will they get one as a Major team if and when they win?
SSUSA STAFF what I'm saying is that a 65aaa team paying $525 to play and now you throw in a major team in there division just doesn't seem right,nothing against any team. you pay to play against ones in your own rating. Ive never had a beef playing against major teams in seeding games to me they are just warm up games. And I'm not gripping just pointing out what I think isn't right.
Plus JBTexas I don't see why you got bumped up to majors for winning one qualifier maybe if you did as well after Texas State tourney then maybe get bumped up.
Alamo: Teams that earn bids to the T.O.C. in more than one rating level will play at the highest rating level should they choose to attend the T.O.C.
