Discussion: A new Novel. A great read!

Just finished this great softball book. Warning sad ending but it was worth the read. You all will find guys that you played with (just different names). And situations that we have all had to deal with in league and tournaments. Great job NKHokie84 from a south jersey boy.

Bob, we could use you on our 75AAAteam here in Texas, it would be fun to play on same team with again. Team is San Antinio Silver Streaks. Let me know and I'll get with our coach.

Brackets were sent to managers late yesterday. That least the older groups got their, our show all brackets thru Sunday, so you should have yours or at least manager.

Another good question I'm assuming you mean Waco, either way nothing has been sent to the coaches yet that I know off.

Folks please be aware that the start dates for the 70,75 and 80 age brackets for Heart of Texas in Waco are wrong on the website per TD KP, playing dates are actually 1-2 June Thursday and Friday. I hope this helps some of the teams that didn't get notified of change. Hope everyone still has time to change travel and hotel reservations.

Discussion: ow to appeal a call

I agree with everything you stated but most time it is the pitcher who appeals to the home umpire before placing ball back in play. This last weekend we had a pitcher make a throw to third and didn't state who or why he made the throw. Runner ruled safe but a debate occurred about the pitcher being able to make a verbal appeal.

Runner left to soon on a fly to outfield, runner advances and umpire had called after advancement. What steps does the pitcher have to take to appeal a dead ball, runner leaving early.

DD, we can't find anything in the current rulebook that tells the correct steps to appeal a play just what plays can be appealed. We are pretty sure that the requirement to throw to a base is long gone but can't find anything that states that. I know we are missing something has in written but were?

Big Sexy, wasn't looking for a team, our team was just looking at adding a player or two to our travel roster. Pool of 70 and 75's keep getting small each year. we would have moved to 75's this year but came up 3 or 4 players short, so one more year in the 70's.
