| July 31, 2016 Mr. Nick | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Ratings EP1964, I feel your pain. In 2015, our team won the 50 AAA Nor Cal Championship and we were immediately moved up to 50 Majors. At Nor Cal, We lost one of the seeding games and it took the "if" game for us to win the Championship. The team you are referring to in your post won both Reno and Nor Cal Championship this year. In Reno, they beat us by 9 runs. Unfortunately, SSUSA has not posted the game scores for these 2 tournaments. Yes, this is totally unbelievable. Maybe SSUSA can provide an explanation. |

I hope the new ratings come out before the Western Nationals. |

Last year we won the Nor Cal and were immediately bumped up. I hope SSUSA does the same this year with the winners of the above tournaments. |

| July 5, 2016 Mr. Nick | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Calling all pitchers. Dan, I'm 62 and I started pitching 2 years ago. I currently pitch for a 50s major team. Mechanics and practice is the key for me. I go to the fields 2 to 3 times a week and practicing pitching with a mat. I found when I was pitching too short I was not pushing off with my legs. I'm also a right hand thrower. To avoid having my pitches go to the left, I swing my right arm back close to my body and lock my wrist. This allows me to deliver the pitch in a straight forward motion. As mentioned above, it is very important that after your delivery you are in a position to defend yourself. Best of luck. |

Per the guidelines used by SSUSA, they can re-rate a team after 3 tournaments. Our team just got re-rated (AAA to Major 50) after 2 tournaments. I have asked for an explanation but no response yet. I'm also surprised that the Warriors were re-rated to 50 Major. |
