Looking to play in the 50 AAA division Vegas Worlds.
Outfielder, I can hit and run, mostly hit :) I would be a good addition to a team needing to get over the hump! In box me if you're interested in my talents?

Discussion: Rotator Cuff Surgery or not?

Thanks Guys,
This encourages me to get the surgery.. :)
I've had an shoulder issue for about an year or so.

That's the best part of my game and the funny thing is, guys have been running on me and taking advantage of my injury and it's OHHHH so frustrating watching them run .

Anyone know an good Surgeon, in the Los Angeles Area? I hear a good Surgeon really makes a different! LOL

Discussion: Rating Question

Titand,
You're correct he's trying to be added to a 55 major TOC roster
I understand the higher rating...However would this still apply if he's the 12th man for the TOC roster?...

I thought the same thing Taits...But he's not allowed to play TOC as a 55 major because he played in those 2 50 major tourneys....I'm confused also..maybe Staff can assist?

Discussion: Rating Question

Player plays the last 3 seasons with a 55 major team and worlds, then plays a qualifier and the worlds in the 50 major division in the same season.

What is the players over all rating? 55 Major or 50 Major?

Discussion: Courtesy runner replacement on a base.

here's one for you;

Base hit, batter gets a courtesy runner at 1st base, next batter comes up and get a hit, runners now at 1st and 2nd...

The courtesy runner at 2nd is now replaced with another courtesy runner, so that he can enter the game as a Sub to pinch hit for another player. (1st courtesy runner was not in the game)

I was always told that you can't have a courtesy runner for a courtesy runner! but the coach argued that he was making a Substitution therefore it was a legal switch...The Umpires agreed with the coach..... I bitched for 3 days, that this was not the case..

Please someone tell me I'm correct, before i pull this trigger! LOL

Discussion: Getting released from a team you don't want to play for any longer

Garyhitter, I hear you loud and clear, but if you're waiting on SSUSA to make a release happen, well??? You'll be waiting until Dec. when the rules committee meets and if the topic isn't brought up in writing, then next year the same dam thing will happen.

This happen to me also this year however after speaking with the manager's assistance. I was able to get my release, but it wasn't easy, I had to use some choice words, in order to obtain the release. It's really sad, that situations like these really take place especially at our ages!

If we are allowed 2 team moves within the division per season, then we should be allowed to leave WITHOUT a Manager's release, if we so choose too?

Discussion: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR RULING • WMC 50-Major Matter

Rickie,

I hear ya! but I don't agree..This is RECEATIONAL SOFTBALL, I don't care if the old steel's team came back from the dead and entered into the tourney, they still would have to beat us on the field!
If the weaker teams aren't smart enough to play bye the rules as said forth, then why feel sorry for them!

I thought we were all big boys here! If the rules allow you to pickup whomever is available, then so be it! Let's Play! winner take all!

Discussion: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR RULING • WMC 50-Major Matter

I sure hear a lot of Whining!!! "Oh you have 55 major plus players on your team and that's cheating cause we only have 50 Major players on our roster"

Cut the crap guys! Leave it on the field!

Whatever happen to let's play ball and the best team wins! SSUSA rates the players based on teams wins, bring your skills shut up and play! doesn't matter what age you are!

It would be nice to go back to 1 division 50-60 age group division Winner takes all.
Then 60-70

This would stop all the so call cheating or stacking of teams! you bring your guys, I bring mine, Let's play!

Discussion: 50's vs. 55's

Bballer,

You're talking 55 All Stars Vs 50 Majors,

This was just played this past 50 Major Worlds. We beat the crap out all those young people..LOL

MTC and Cornerstone had all 55 guys on their roster. MTC sent home 11 50 Major teams..Games were close, but us older guy stood the test of time and ability. So at this point and time Us 55 years old would have no problem beating up on those young 50 years olds.....IMO

Discussion: SCREENS IN TOURNAMENTS

Screens are nice for BP, but that's about it, as far as I'm concern.
I think the hardest part about pitching is bending over for the low ground balls. I took a nice shot to the ankle / shin this past weekend in Phoenix, then the next 5 guys preceded to hit the middle also! that PISSED me off more then getting hit! I would prefer the choice of using the mask also, I personally feel the mask gets more in the way then protection, but I guess I would have to take one to the face to really know..LOL (Hope it doesn't happen) My 2 Cents..

Discussion: Quadruple Play?

It was in fact a Quadruple play, however the umpire said he could not award 4 outs due to the fact that So Cal 55 had a 60's major player on their roster that had not been approved bye the rules committee.

LeeLee I've been playing AA for about 6 years now, but I have always longed to play MAJOR PLUS, I can't throw that well, but I'm a life time 400 hitter. That average is better then the Major league ball players... So I think I maybe compete in major plus..what you think?
