Smokey Mtn Senior Classic 2012
How many teams are really planning on going to Maryville TN for this historic rebirth of a classic!!
I know the Big Boys still play in July, but this is our time to remember the good ole days.
I hope we have a big turn out so we can bring back a little bit of historic softball June 1-3 2012

Hope to see you there

OKI 50 Major+ will be there. Although in ISSA there is no Major+, just Major.

Mario, hopefully they will still let you guys play. If there is no Major+, that means you are Major and should be allowed to participate!

I think this would be a great tourney for all the teams that think both M and M+
should be put together to play in. It will be a good example of how competive these teams can be together in same bracket.
There are several 50M teams that will be there, hopefully Mario and his gang will not beat us too bad!!!

This is an ISSA tournament and they do combine Major and Major Plus.
I played in the Smoky Mtn Classic in 1984 and again in 2002. A team was waiting on some of their player that were delayed because of airline problems. I played defense for one inning until their players arrived.

Didn't see OKI on the team list at Smokey's web site, are you guys still planning on playing?

When is the deadline for entry? Our manager just told me Monday that we were still going.

I think the cut-off is the 15th, but you better check to make sure.
Looking forward to a good turn out, there were 6 50 teams already and looks like
maybe 2 or 3 more. That would make for a pretty good turn out.

Talked to our manager again Friday night and he said that we are going and that he has already talked to them and that he was getting ready to send them our entry fee. It would be nice to get 8-10 teams to play against.

I'm a free agent 50 Major plus (from MD) who is available the weekend of this tourney. I am a middle infielder who pitches...play left... right center and a team first oriented player. MJ 202.438.8861

Just found out tonight that we will not be going to the Smokey Tourney. Had some players that could not make it.
