| July 9, 2025 coop3636 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Rerating SSUSA You need to change the way you rerate teams. 4 years ago, we got lucky and made it to Sunday in Vegas. 4 of our guys left and we had to forfeit on Sunday morning (That's how lucky we got, players booked return flights on Sunday because of how our team played all year. They didn't think we make it that far.) We got bumped (no problem) It is in the rules. We played the next season in majors and got killed (6-26) Said no to getting bumped back to AAA (All other associations moved us back to AAA, without us asking, they all know we are NOT a major team.) Played the next season and was in the middle of the pack in AAA (did not play SSUSA) Was told that unless we play in more SSUSA tournaments, we would not get moved. (Sponsor wont play or pay in major, no sense in going to tournaments where you have no chance to compete, not win just compete. Was told no again This year were won 1 game (1-11) in AAA before coming in 2nd in a tournament. All the teams that are beating us are rated AAA in SSUSA Was denied again since we didn't play in any SSUSA . There HAS to be something done to rerate teams from other association tournaments.. It just doesn't make any sense to keep a team in majors when they truly can NOT compete there. This is supposed to be about fairness to teams. SSUSA needs to take a closer look at how they rate teams Just because a team has ONE good weekend in Vegas, they shouldn't be punished for the rest of eternity. Maybe if a team gets in the top 10 2 years in a row, then move them or look at the rest of their season and see if Vegas was a fluke or the real deal. Have some common sense. We are old guys playing a game that is suppose to be fun and competitive. If you want my team name, ask, I will put it in a reply, but I am sure you know who we are. |

| March 11, 2024 coop3636 | Topic: Teams looking for players Discussion: Team OG 50AAA 55AAA and 60AAA If ALL you players hit over 800, you will not be AAA for long. And you shouldn't lose a game. I have played and coached for over 40 years and NEVER have I seen a team in AAA that everyone hit over 800. Good luck Coop Especially if you keep the averages correctly. |

| Oct. 18, 2023 coop3636 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Need help with a rule Situation: Batter hits line drive to 3rd base, he catches it by his foot but his gloves comes off and lands on the ground with the ball inside it. (He picks up ball out of the glove and throws to first, but runner beats the throw) I say it was a live ball and batter is safe. Some people say it was an out because the ball never hit the ground. Please let me know if I am correct or not. Thanks Coop3636 |
| Sept. 21, 2023 coop3636 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Thread Closed Hey There is a program out there for each and every scenario. It doesn't have to handle 800 teams, just handle EACH bracket which is mostly less than 100 teams. If worse comes to worse, just have the director at each park take a picture of the filled out bracket a couple of times during the day and at the end of each day and post it on the website. Problem solved...lol easy and doesn't cost any money. Just a few minutes of their time. Just my 2 cents Coop |
