Sadly, Kevin Pringle passed away after a short illness on December 6, 2023. He was 73.

Kevin lived in Montara, CA, near the ocean he loved. He fished and surfed as often as time and health allowed. His other passions were basketball and softball. In his long career with senior softball, Kevin played for the Redwood City Reds, the Bay Supporters, the War Eagles, and the Animals. He was a versatile athlete who could play any position and always enjoyed a cold beer and a laugh with his teammates and opponents after the day's games were over.

For more than 35 years, Kevin operated popular Christmas tree lots and pumpkin patches around the San Francisco Bay Area. A unique character, he will be remembered for his fun-loving attitude, a million crazy stories about trailers and poker games and for his wallet stuffed with discount restaurant coupons. Kevin was a valued and much-loved teammate. His friends and family will tell you his kind doesn't come around often. He will be missed.

My Dad Kevin Pringle was an amazing dad to me and my 2 brothers (David and Zach). He was always there for us when we needed him.
He loved playing softball, basketball, cornhole, surfing and fishing. Softball was his biggest hobby. I remember when I was a kid if I was not playing baseball, I was going to his tournaments. He was the best softball player out on the field in my eyes. When I turned 18, I was lucky enough to play with him on his league team in Pacifica Ca, from that point on, I was addicted to the game. More than anything I loved to play and compete with my dad. I am going to miss those phone calls on Saturday or Sunday night when he would update me on his tournament stats and how his team did. His team usually won! I was lucky enough to see him play in his last tournament this year with the Chief's .
I want to say thank you to senior softball USA and all the players and umpires for providing a great experience for my dad the last 30 years.

Dad , "I love you and you will be missed . ( I will see you back on the softball field one day )

My condolences AA RON. When i first joined the Redwood City club almost 16 years ago, your dad was one of the 1st guys to come up and introduce himself to me and made feel welcome. He was a solid player and even better guy. I always enjoyed talking with him, he was one of the good guys and Ill miss him !
