I recently played at Cesar Chavez Softball Complex for winter worlds for my 60's team that played at this complex. I have to Thank the city and grounds crew that did EVERYTHING possible to insure these fields were in the best possible condition for EVERY game. They groomed and watered the fields after every game so that we as players had the same playability each game. As a player that has played all over the country on many different fields and conditions I appreciate the effort and dedication that was showed for these games.

For comparison Jay, do you think they were on a par with the fields at the William Owens Complex?

Agree with the great job by ground crew on the infield surface at Cezar Chavez this weekend. Unfortunately the outfield was not as nice as the infield. Our outfielders complained about the hole in the outfield surface. Also, we played a 5:00pm game and by 5:30 the lights were turned on... the lights were terrible, many were burned out and made play dangerous for the infielders and outfielders couldn't see the balls coming off the bats. Hopefully they will improve those areas for 2019.
