FYI
In a 65 Major seeding game today, Boyd Metals scored 33 runs in the open inning to beat West Coast All Stars 52 to 32. Wow!

I can only imagine being out there in the field during the top half of the open watching run after run getting scored... that must have been so tough, especially in the hot sun. How long was the open inning? 1 hour alone? Where was the game played? Was wind/walks a factor?

It was at Big League Dreams. Wrigley. No wind. And it was hot! I think it may have been smarter to concede and walk off the field.

Jon44 ... Actually, Dbax shorted them a couple runs ... Boyd Metals got 35 in the top of the open, to turn a 19-17 deficit into a 52-19 lead into the bottom, where the other guys got 3 ... An amazing hitting display and not the result of a lot of unearned runs ... Impressive!

any guess how long they were out there? Seriously, that had to be at least 20-30 minutes that half inning alone in 100 degree heat.... wow. Then to go out fighting and score 13 of their own runs (first post says they got to 32 in losing effort) in the bottom half of the open after being out there so long-- kudos for the effort to try to bounce back.

Open inning score was 35-3 ... Game final was 52-22 (as is posted) ... Don't know how long it took, but the field was only about 20 minutes behind after the game ... Ump did a heck of a job in that and his prior games on that field ...
