June 1 DaveDowell Men's 70 4321 posts | gary ... We're not aware of anyone who stocks the mats to that specification ... However, any local rubber fabricator can cut them for you ... It's basically the same thing as a custom floor mat for a restaurant kitchen, or for a truck mud flap ... We typically pay about $25 per mat ... Good luck ... |

June 3 J R 251 posts | I got the # from SSUSA. Capitol Rubber. I called ,and they sent them to me 35.00 plus shipping. I cut a piece of carpet and glued it on so it would not move. I also painted it white much easier for the pitcher and Umpire to see. |
June 4 rlspls1974 Men's 65 119 posts | Hey staff, painting the mats white is an excellent idea. Cans of spray paint are cheap at HD or Lowes. Any chance you can ask your TD's to do that? |
June 4 Turbobob Men's 65 71 posts | In our league, we cut pieces of 3/4" thick pine or maple plywood to the necessary measurements, then paint it white with a black 1" border. There is never a doubt when the ball hits the strike plate because you can hear it clearly. The sound also helps in determining the balls hitting the front edge (or any edge) for a strike. We store them in the large lockers at the fields. |
