Here is an excerpt from the SSUSA Rule book.
8.4(10) • WHEN RUNNERS ARE ENTITLED TO ADVANCE

D. When the ball is in play and is overthrown (beyond the boundary lines) or
is blocked. EFFECT: All runners will be awarded two bases, and the award
will be governed by the positions of the runners when the ball left the
fielder's hands. If two runners are between the same bases, the award is
based on the lead runner.
EXCEPTION:
1.
If the ball becomes blocked because of offensive equipment not
involved in the game, the ball is ruled dead and runners are returned
to the last base touched at the time of the blocked ball. If the blocked
ball prevented the defense from making an out, the runner being
played on is called out.

Discussion: Last minute Roster changes

Good Afternoon Staff,

This is more of a question than anything else. Last Friday around 2:30 pm Eastern time I emailed the office with a roster change request for a Monday start in the Connecticut Masters Game. A plyer tested positive for COVID. When I arrived Monday morning the TD had not received my changes. He took my request and edited our roster manually. That afternoon I received my reply from the staff that one of my changes was NOT eligible.

It never became an issue as we didn't need him. However, what would happen if we had won the tournament with an unknowingly ineligible player?

My question is as follows. Is it possible for a staff member to be available for roster updates on weekends when tournaments are taking place? As an alternative, give on-site TD's remote access to the eligibility database?

BTW the TD in the Connecticut Masters tournament did an excellent job dealing with some challenging weather conditions on Saturday.

Thanks for listening.

I find it interesting that so many folks post their opinions here without actually revealing their identity?

Why wouldn't you add your name and location to your profile and not just a nickname?

Tim,

So now that the tournament has been changed to a 4 game guarantee from 5 games. Will we be getting a 20% rebate on our entry fee?

Thanks

Hey staff, painting the mats white is an excellent idea.
Cans of spray paint are cheap at HD or Lowes.
Any chance you can ask your TD's to do that?
