Discussion: Replacements
How long does it take to come back to playing after a shoulder replacement. It has been four and a half months.
YOU ONLY THROW UNDERHAND AND PECK TO RIGHT FIELD
I HOPE YOU GET BACK ON THE FIELD SOON
Best of luck on your rehab. Hope to see you this season!
I had a reverse shoulder procedure on January 24th. My physical therapist released me almost three weeks ago and I see my surgeon the 26th of April. He told me that if everything still looked good I would not have to see him for a year. I have not tried to throw or bat. Since I have no rotator cuff tendons anymore the lack of strength is a concern. I am pain free for the first time in at least 8 years and it is my throwing arm. I have a friend that had the same surgery on his non throwing arm and he hits the ball as well as he has ever hit. I was lucky that they did not have to reconnect my bicep muscle. I am so used to not being able to throw for the last 3 years because of the pain that I will have to get past that feeling it will hurt.
Thanks for the input. I played in a tournament yesterday and was pleasantly surprised.....I think that I'm still a couple of months away from throwing overhand and swinging hard.
