Midwest Tournaments
There are so few senior tournaments in the Midwest for AAA/major teams. Once again, 2 of the 4 tournaments for the year fall on the same weekend. Teams like ours will have to decide between the ISA tournament in Columbus, Indiana or the Windy City tournament in Elgin. The sad part of this will be that the attendance for both will be down because they are splitting the teams in the area between the two tournaments.
I think better planning needs to be done between regional directors.

Rambrose, I don't disagree with your comment about the weekend of July 27-30. In fact there are three tourneys that same weekend. Columbus, Ind., Elgin, Ill. and Lee's Summit Mo. However there are more than 3 other tourneys in the Midwest this year (depending on you definition of Midwest).

Mar 30 Shawnee Ks (just west of Kansas City)
May 3 Indy
May 4 Tulsa
June 1 Columbia Mo
June 2o Quad Cities (Moline, Ill.)
July 11 Rodgers Arkansas
Aug 24 Shawnee Ks

So in addition to the weekend you mention there are 6 other weekends in the Midwest.
That list only includes SSUSA not any of their competitors. Not sure who your team is but would love to see you at all of the above tourneys. Our team will be at one of those tourneys on those weekends.

Rambrose, these were scheduled the same in 2016.Columbus 40 teams,Elgin 20. To each his own but,the fact that Columbus is a TOC qualifier makes the July weekend a no brainer especially the comparison being Elgin.

We are always looking for tournaments that have a good amount of teams in our division that is drivable for our players. Windy City is our backyard, Indy is three hours. Tulsa is 9.5 hours, Rodgers 9 hours, Shawnee is 7.5 hours, and Columbia at 5.5 hours. Quad Cities does not accept Major teams. The problem is there are so few major teams in our area, it is tough to find competition. ISA Worlds in Columbus is a great tournament, I hope there are more than 2 teams in our bracket if we go this year. If the five or six major teams in the Midwest split between the two.....there will be two in each.

Rambrose, What age bracket is your team? What is your team name? Our team is
Sports Image (Tubby's last year)based out of St. Louis. We are a 60 Major team.
Last year at Indy there were 3 Major 60 teams and 2 Major Plus 60 teams and we played all of them. In the 55 Major bracket there were 5 teams. Hope to see you at some tourneys this year.

The Qualifier in Vadnais Heights is a TOC event. It will be the first TOC qualifying event for this tournament and should draw several teams as it's the first one in the Midwest this year. Hope to see a large turnout.
