Cedar Hill was a very big disappointment for our team. Bathrooms were terrible, smelled terrible, no working hand dryers and no towels made it even worse. Our early evening games were hours behind, so we walked off the field after midnight for our 8:00 game. The lights were terrible, bulbs were out on each field making it dark, and completely non-playable on one field. They ran out of tournament balls, so they were selling two different balls by the end of the tournament. If there was a grounds crew, we did not see one single person working on the fields. The umpires were decent on Saturday, our two ladies on Sunday were excellent. We have put this tournament on our schedule the last few years, I do not think we will be back.

Discussion: 60 Ratings

On October 10, 2019 Cardot was rated a Major team after winning the 60’s Major World Championship in Vegas. On October 18th, eight days later, Sumari and Windy City who took second and third respectively in the 60’s were moved up to Major Plus. Can I get some clarification on this rating?

Thank You

Retirement is outstanding, was very surprised to hear your team folded.
Good luck finding a team.

Discussion: Brickyard Tournament Indianapolis

Yes, our team has been waiting and watching the weather for the area. There is no way our team will be playing in the conditions that we did last year, it was an absolute safety concern for all involved. I hope the site director is being honest with California directors, because if not, we will have a repeat of last year.

Thank you for the rain update CCVSC, I appreciate it.

Discussion: Midwest Tournaments

We are always looking for tournaments that have a good amount of teams in our division that is drivable for our players. Windy City is our backyard, Indy is three hours. Tulsa is 9.5 hours, Rodgers 9 hours, Shawnee is 7.5 hours, and Columbia at 5.5 hours. Quad Cities does not accept Major teams. The problem is there are so few major teams in our area, it is tough to find competition. ISA Worlds in Columbus is a great tournament, I hope there are more than 2 teams in our bracket if we go this year. If the five or six major teams in the Midwest split between the two.....there will be two in each.

There are so few senior tournaments in the Midwest for AAA/major teams. Once again, 2 of the 4 tournaments for the year fall on the same weekend. Teams like ours will have to decide between the ISA tournament in Columbus, Indiana or the Windy City tournament in Elgin. The sad part of this will be that the attendance for both will be down because they are splitting the teams in the area between the two tournaments.
I think better planning needs to be done between regional directors.
