Discussion: Question?

When 50 Major plus player turns 55 is he still considered a 50 Major plus player or 55 Major plus player?
55 Major plus/50 Major. The way I understand things, when you reach the next age group you carry your rating from your previous age group. If you play down 1 age group your rating drops 1 level.

I believe the Poollshark is correct. Drops a level but the same rating index.
So does this mean a 55 year old player that played Major plus as a 54 year old can play 50 Major and not count as 1 of the Major plus players for that team?
I would say yes, it's you playing age, not actual age that counts.
A 55 yr old who played Major Plus as a 54 year old (this means he played 50 Major Plus) can play 50 Major, but WOULD be counted as one of the Major Plus players for that team.

I could be wrong, but just because he aged a year I seriously doubt the Plus tag would drop if playing in the same age group as before.
Not true Katz, a 54 year old who turns 55 during that season could have played 55 Major Plus.
SSUSA please correct me if I am incorrect: Age 54 player plays on a 50 M+ team, turns 55. He can know play 50 major, but if at anytime plays for a 50M+ team, he will be rated as M+ in the 55 and 50. M+ players continue to maintain M+ rating in their current age groups. Exceptions are made on a case by case basis for medical/geographic/???.
Mario. Your rating experience history follows you for two-years. Plus rated players cannot play below Major. You may play 50 or 55 Major dependant on the make up of the team but,you will still carry the 50 Major Plus rating for 2 years.
