Discussion: USSSA AND ASA BATS?

CAN YOU USE USSSA AND ASA BATS IN SENIORS SOFTBALL?
yes, also ISA and NSA bats.
not all asa bats are legal
Just curious which ASA bats are not legal in senior softball?
Probably the ones meant to be used with the 52 cor balls.
And which one's are those that are higher than a BPF of 1.21?
The new "hologram" ASA stamp that does not have a year associated with it is tested differently and won't pass the 1.20/1.21 tests in the same manner as the other bats. These are the ones designed for the low compression .52 cor balls that Bruce mentioned.
If you choose to use a ASA bat, it MUST have the BPF on it. Most resent ASA bats DO NOT have the BPF, which makes them illegal in SSUSA play. Rule 3.4(7). Batter out. Runners return to last base occupied and player is ejected from the remainder of tournament
Don't listen to SOCO he is completely wrong on the rule. If he would read the rules it clearly states otherwise. If you are using an asa bat made after 2013 that DOESNT have a 2000 or 2004 stamp then it must have the stamp he is talking about. It's pretty clear and self explanatory if you take the time to read it.
