Discussion: Rule 6:16 once more

When did this amended rule take place?? Had this problem in February during TOC. umpires and director said there's no rule to allow the movement of the pitcher because of the sun in the batters eyes.

Discussion: Congrats to Terry Hennessy

I would like to thank Terry for all the work he has done during the trying times he has been going through. It was great news to hear he is cancer free. With faith, prayer and support of friends, health will prevail. SSUSA organizations is well run and having guys like Terry, it will be around for a long time. I'm out of Arizona, I play for Arizona Bulldawgz 50 AAA and just won the TOC in Florida. That was an amazing experience. Terry and the rest of the organization did a great job. The banquet was amazing, the events put on were fun. But the ultimate experience was getting a chance to meet the Wounded warrior team, and play a few innings with them. I have the up most respect for our service men and women. Again, thank you Terry for doing such a great job under the most streeful of times.

Discussion: Use a plate to touch to score, over crossing a line

Playing in the TOC in Florida this past wkend, they used a plate you had to touch to score. I feel the rules committee or Directors should consider making the rule on scoring, that the runners touch a plate, in place of the line. I feel this would help the umpires. For those of you who haven't seen this, it's just a home plate placed away from the batters box, where the line would be. You just had to step on that plate to score.

Discussion: The care of senior bats

Does leaving your bats, like the ONE, and Ultra 2, in your garage hurt the performance of the bats. Last tournament in Phoenix, temps were 104, the balls didn't seem to come off my bats like they use to. I keep my bats in my garage, where it gets pretty warm. Any opinions.

Discussion: ball tipped over fence with no bome runs left, bases loaded, playing rules were walks after no HR Left. what should happen.

In a tournament where the rules were, 3 Hr, walks after, there was bases loaded, one out. The batter hit a fly ball where the outfielder tipped the ball over the fence. The HR rule is, hit and sit, runners don't have to tag bases. Does the rule change on a 4 base error call. Umpire called runners out for not rounding the bases. We scored 0 runs. I have not found this covered in any senior rule book. Anyone have a written rule that covers this.

Discussion: Arizona Sun Cities 55+ Sidewinders - Need AAA or better rated tournament players -Minimum Resident participation rules lifted!

Hi, this is Randy from the 50's AAA Arizona Bulldawgs. I just became eligible to play 55. I play first, I'm 6'4" tall, or play a very good outfield, weak arm, great speed and catching ability on the run. I've played ball for 40 years. I hit a lot of homers and hit for an average, usually 750-800. Will be playing with my Bulldawgs, but, would like to get to know some 55 teams for the future, and when our teams aren't playing at the same time, would like to help the 55 team out. I'll try to make the try-out Sunday, could use the practice for our tournament next weekend at Rose Mofford. We are also playing in the sidewinders at the end of the month. You can reach me at, 602-291-2164, if you would like to talk.

Discussion: a good 50 AAA looking to move up to a 55 major

Starting in November, I'm eligible to play 55. I'm looking to play 55 Majors. I play first base for the Arizona Bulldawgs. I believe a lot of guys out there know me. I will hit 750-800, with great power. If needed, I'm a great outfielder as well. I'm committed to play with the Bulldawgs for the next year, however, There are tournaments that make it possible to play with both. The worlds, in Vegas has the 50 and 55's playing different days, which would make it possible to play for both teams. Not eligible for this Worlds in Vegas. Give me a call if interested. I like to play and I have fun doing it. My e-mail is changing to, randytompkins12@gmail.com.. My number is, 602-291-2164 See ya on the fields. Randy

Discussion: Clock starting for game

I feel to help get a full game in, the game clock should not start until the first pitch. We're here to play 7 innings, and with all the interuptions during the game, there's been times we couldn't get to the 7th inning. Going to a 1 and 1 pitch, with one to waist, would help get in a full game too.

Discussion: Warning on quality of Combat Bats

Hey guys, just a heads up, I purchased a combat centarian and it was no good. It's been checked and tried out by serveral guys. Even though there's no warranty, a company should allow you to try a bat to see if it's any good, and back the company on it's quality of product, and repalce it. Well, Combat will not replace a defective bat, But, Miken will on their No Warranty Bats. It's called, Warranty Consideration. It works, I've tried it. Bats are too expensive to buy and not get satisfaction out of them.
