What is a current Senior bat with a 1.21 rating.
I have a 6 year old Ultra II and a 3 year old FREAK.

Time for a new bat.

In my experience the 1.21 is a tad hotter.

Thanks,
Stan b

Discussion: Re-Learning Hip Rotation, Cures Early Season Slump. Swing Makeover #39

Bogie, met and worked with Brett this week.
He spotted my issues right away.
Guess what.......hip rotation or lack there of.
We worked on that primarily.
Brett recorded a before and after.
Holy smokes!

If any of you could afford the time and $$, which isn't much, I highly recommend the investment in your self.

Applied what I learned today.
Positive results, not in distance as much as getting the clincher ball he SS instead of at him.
Very positive experience.

Discussion: Practice Near Sarasota?

I'll be on Longboat Key the week of April 16th thru 23rd.
Any chance of practicing with any teams that week?

If not, how about 18?

Please share any and all advice!
Also, let me know if anyone is interested in playing!

I got to play in the Milwaukee Classic this passed weekend, had a great time!

But it is clear I need to play against kids my own age! (~;

The goal is to play in Quad Cities and or Oshkosh.

Looking for a team on Mondays at McCarty Park in Milwaukee.
Or any other Senior leagues in the evening as well.

63 years old, in decent shape.

Not sure if this is OK with management;

Miken has the "Super Soft" series of gloves on sale for $24.95

I have a 12" glove, it is pretty nice.
Foe $24.95, it would be REAL NICE!

I am using a Super Soft, so far I am very pleased.
But we use a weird sponge ball indoors right now.
The glove has loosened up nicely.

Discussion: "Correcting a downswing, brings BIG results." Swing Makeover Episode 26

After many years out of the game, in my efforts to come back I have applied these techniques.
The equipment changes coupled with this approach has improved things for me greatly.
At this point I can only go by batting cage and indoor softball results, but I am certain I am hitting the ball a lot harder now than I was late last summer when I started my come back.
I highly recommend giving these videos a good look and trying these methods.

I guess to be more precise, I want something I can hit a lot for BP and use in ASA/USSSA tournaments as well.

Thanks for the info though, I have looked at those mentioned.

So.....there are only so many hits in an Ultra II before it cracks.
What do youse guys do for a batting Practice bat?
I have a 20+ year old TPX "Bill Gatti" signature!!! (~;

Maybe something I could use in a non SR tournament????
