I can vouch for that team. Played against them in August FHC. Good, solid team. Thought you guys were Majors though?

Looking for some info on durability..how many swings are you getting out of this bat, in particular from big hitters?

Thanks

Normally, I would sacrifice 1 run to get a good hitter out of the way next inning. But, as with the situations grayhitter lists, different situations where 1 run can make a difference will dictate the direction.

I just traded a guy a U-trip FF2 for an AT18 XL...should get it today or tomorrow...looking forward to swinging it, although it may be a little light for me at 26oz

Discussion: Since when???

I am along the point that there is really no need to have the 40's guys swinging SR bats. I wish the group I play in, FHC, would hold some tourny's that were U-Trip bats, no SR bats. I really don't think it would effect the HR count to a detrimental point. I actually carry a U-trip bat in my bag as a back up, being 50+ I still have no prob with the HR using that bat as I have seen so many other 50+ guys as well

Good luck brother. I find that when I come off a tourny weekend and play golf, the slice comes back...haha, takes me 1/2 of the round to straighten it out.

Personally I agree with Mikelmart...some guys naturally have a swing geared toward distance and HR's, some don't. Like he said, seen plenty of guys hit one out, or come very close then get hooked on chasing the long ball only to see their OBP plummet. I do not recommend swinging a heavier bat for training then switching back to a lighter bat for games, that will wreak havoc with your swing timing. If you want a stronger swing, find a good workout to help increase overall strength. While a little added mass, ie: heavier bat, can make a little difference, it will only make a difference if you can generate the bat speed. You can watch some vids on cutting/spinning the ball, try going to a 26oz endload, or you can just focus on solid contact and a high OBP

Two very different bats. I prefer an endloaded bat, I swing a 27 and I have a 28. I can't swing a 26, too light and I can;t swing a balanced bat, throws me off. I am sure I could get used one if I swung it a lot. Have you tried a Melee 26 endloaded? Depending on what ball your hitting I find it strange that you get more distance out of your ASA bat than your SR bat.

A heavier bat won't necessarily translate to more distance, usually it is the opposite effect. What weight and bat are you swinging now?

Really depends on your swing, IMO. There are a lot of great training videos out there that can show you how to add cut or spin to the ball for more carry. There are some workout videos to to help build up core strength to improve hip rotation. Proper mechanics can be a major factor, as can the equipment you use.

I couldn't comment on that thread since it is locked. But, unless Worth strictly started manufacturing all Worth bats in the US as of this year, NOT all Worth bats are made in the USA. I have 2019 Worth Wicked XXX that says Made in China.

Just curious, getting back into the full swing of paying SR ball. How to you go about finding a team that is seriously sponsored (apparel/equipment/corporate sponsors) to play for? Is it just knowing the right people?..
