| Dec. 5, 2023 dchopp67 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Midwest Championships JohnO28, I didn't have a problem with the Northern Championships traveling to other locations, but the time of year didn't need to be changed. August in the Great Lakes area is always warm/hot. End of April / beginning of May....way to unpredictable. Usually, still around mid 40's-50's. Our team won't be traveling to Northern Championships this year because of that fact. Traveling isn't cheap and we don't want to chance the weather. As you mentioned, we didn't understand the thought process in changing to April / May. I would like to play a tournament in Minneapolis, but not that early in the year. Hopefully in years to come, they will get it rescheduled for some time in August, as it has been for about the last 20 years(??) |
