My experience so far with this bat is that it is holding up but probably only has 150-200 cuts maybe. Was hot even with the wrapper on it, lol. I don't use it that much in games but when I do, I usually get good results. Unfortunately our league uses the 52/300 balls and this bat hits those well so would imagine the 44s would fly with this bat (not sure how durability would be). In this video, I think we were hitting mostly classic M balls. IMO, my bat is hot but I cannot speak to durability just yet.

Discussion: Dudley HotW 14” replacement bat

Just received my 14" replacement about 2 weeks ago. It also has a 250419 serial number. Only have 40-50 hits on it which is longer than the original one lasted. No signs of stress or paint chips, etc.. Hope it stays that way. Has pop and distance. A different sound that the original one. This one has more of a pong sound in the beginning. The sound has since changed. Hope to get some more cuts on it this weekend.

Received my 14" replacement about 2 weeks ago. So far it's holding up longer than the original one. Got about 40-50 hits on it and hits the ball well with pop and distance. Has a different sound than the original. More of a pong sound at first but has changed since.

JR, it would be good to call them back and hopefully speak with another rep or a manager. There is a problem with these bats which they (maybe some) are aware. I sent my broken HOT W back and am awaiting a replacement. They are waiting on a new batch to arrive. I heard that they have some of the short barrel ones that came in though.

I also asked what if I wait a month or two before sending the cracked bat in, he mentioned that this was not a bad idea. Season starts next month so I wanted to use the bat but can't since it is broke and don't trust that a fresh replacement will be any better. Maybe I will wait before sending in. Another thing I pointed out is that I have to pay for shipping it back to them. Not trying to nickel and dime but it is not my fault that their bat cracks the first day I swing it.

As requested by Dudley, I sent them my receipt and a pic of the cracked bat. Called their customer service, the gentleman was very nice but did not seem to know that there was an issue with this particular bat. I inquired about a replacement (and after they review my case and approve a replacement), he said if I sent it back that it would be a 1-2 business day turnaround on getting the replacement bat back. My concern also was that I would get another faulty /defective bat. I pointed to a bigger concern that this was a bigger issue than just my bat and shared with him that quite a few people are complaining that these HOT W bats are breaking too early. He said that they have not received any damaged bats back yet as he was individualizing the issue; did not confirm a corporate problem.

Just cracked my 14". I think this is the hottest bat out of the wrapper that I have ever swung. If Dudley can figure out how to make it last longer, they will have a great bat. Mine now sounds like a rain stick. Will be sending it back.
