July 1, 2015 Doug C from KG | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Some Gave All Memorial Softball Tournament If you're not already playing in a tourney on 8 Aug I'd really appreciate your support getting teams signed up for the first Some Gave All Softball Tournament on 8 Aug 2015 at Barnesfield in King George, VA. I have a flyer I can send to anyone interested in signing up. Although, this tournament will be played under Men's WSL rules it is open to Men's, Coed, Senior, Church, Rec or any other team regardless of their skill level. Any help promoting would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping to get at least four senior teams and have them play in their own bracket and all other teams in a separate bracket. At the end of the day (given time allows) we'll have the two bracket winners play each other for bragging rights. (old guys against young guys type deal) History of the Some Gave All Foundation: SGA was stood up to Honor SGT Nick Mason and SGT Josh Frazier both who made the ultimate sacrifice during Operation Iraq Freedom and were laid to rest in King George, Va. The SGA Foundation provides support to Service Members (and their families) who served in Iraq and Afghanistan along with supporting the McGuire Army Hospital Disable Veterans annual Wheel Chair Olympics. www.somegaveall.org Feel free to call or email me with any questions you might have at doug.cantrell@mda.mil or 540-604-4529. |
