2018 Rochester 10,000 Lakes Classic

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Rochester 10,000 Lakes Classic was held here at McQuillan Field, Aug. 24-26.

Men’s 50/55 Major Plus
Minnesota Merchants, 50 Major Plus, played J&J’s Sports/Miken/Demons (IA), 55 Major Plus, in a best two-out-of-three game series.

MN Merchants took game one, 25-16, while J&J’s Sports came back with a game two win, 21-18. MN Merchants cruised in the third and final game, 23-8.

Men’s 50/55 Major
Minnesota Merchants, 55 Major, came out of the elimination bracket with wins over Pope Transport, 50 Major, 31-24, and two wins over Speedwerx, 55 Major, 22-18 (championship game) and 14-11 (“if” game). Speedwerx defeated MN Merchants, 20-13, earlier in the bracket.

Men’s 50/55 Silver
Minnesota Patriots, 50 AA, double-dipped MN Lumberjacks, 50 AAA, 25-13 (championship game) and 15-9 (“if” game). Luther Group (WI), 55 AAA, finished third.

Men’s 60 AAA
Oshkosh Ambassadors (WI) defeated Minnesota Blizzard, 15-13, in the “if” game, after losing the championship game, 15-5. Minnesota Masters finished third.

Men’s 65/70 Gold
MN Masters/Ancell, 65 Major, won the division, as Fossils (IA), 65 AAA, forfeited the championship game. Wisconsin Masters, 65 Major, finished third.

Men’s 70 AAA
MN Lumberjacks defeated Oshkosh Ambassadors, 23-18, in the championship game.  MN Masters finished in third place.
