2018 Wes Weddle Fall Classic Recap

SHAWNEE, KS – The 2018 Wes Weddle Fall Classic was held here at Mid-America Sports Complex, Aug. 23 -26.

Men’s 50 Major
Top seed B&B Drywall/World Gym (KS) defeated KC Monarchs (MO), 30-27, in the championship game. B&B Drywall posted a perfect 6-0 record in the tournament.

Men’s 50/55 AAA
Top seed Bear’s Ballers (MO), Men’s 55 AAA, went 4-0 in the tournament, including a 20-11 win over KC Monarchs (MO), Men’s 55 AAA.

Men’s 60 Major/AAA
Top seed Big Daddy’s Donuts (MO), Men’s 60 AAA, dropped its first game of the bracket, 12-11, against Mayhem (OK), Men’s 60 Major. Big Daddy’s Donuts answered with three straight wins, including double-dipping Mayhem by scores of 23-21 and 14-7, respectively in the championship and “if” games.

Men’s 60 AA
R&K Drywall (OK) bested Reco Nebraska in a best two-out-of-three game series. R&K took game one, 18-17; Reco took game two, 21-12, an R&K took the rubber-match, 30-19.

Men’s 65 Major/AAA
KC Kids (KS), Men’s 65 AAA, swept Boyd Metals (AR), Men’s 65 Major, in a best two out of three game series.

Men’s 65 AA
Bags Softball (IA) went 3-0 in the bracket, including a 26-25 win over Oklahoma City Relics in the championship game.

Men’s 70 AAA/Major
Top seed Avengers (MO), 70 AAA, defeated US Pallet/STL Vision (MO), 70 Major, 22-15, in the championship game.

Women’s 40 Major
Dudley/Greenspace (KS) defeated Above the Law (MO), 24-9, in the championship game.
