11th Annual Atlantic Coast Championships Draw Over 100 Teams

TBA

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA --- For the first time in its history, the Atlantic Coast Championships has surpassed the century mark. This year, 101 teams representing 16 states will be competing here across three venues during the week of Tuesday-Sunday, May 16-21.

Along with teams from the Old Dominion state, teams from Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and West Virginia will all attend the 2017 Atlantic Coast Championships, one of the marquee Senior Softball-USA tournaments East of the Mississippi River.

The tournament will commence with the first session, May 16-18, as teams from the Men’s 65 through 80 age divisions will take the field. Potomack Lakes Sportsplex (Sterling) will host the entire first session, beginning with games from the 75/80 age division at 8:00 am on Tuesday.

The second session, May 19-21, will feature the Men’s 50 through 60 age divisions in action, while the Men’s and Women’s 40 Masters divisions will see the diamond during the third session, May 20-21. Potomack Lakes Sportsplex, Brambleton Regional Park (Ashburn), Philip A. Bolen Memorial Park (Leesburg) are all scheduled to be in use during the second and third sessions.

As a Tournament of Champions (TOC) qualifier, winners of each division from the Atlantic Coast Championships earn a berth to the TOC, held annually in February in Polk County, Florida.
