I would like to get some feedback on just how fast some ultra maxload bats have broken, how many swings did it take?

I've had two and both lasted about 150 hits. They were really nice bats, but...

I personally like the maxload better than the UltraII Black. I like a heavier bat, always swing 30 ounce and it has a heavier "feel" to it, and has a lot of "pop"

Honestly, it lasts about the same as the UltraII as well.

The 150 hits all depends on your personal swing speed and what kind of weather conditions you use it in. I played in SSUSA winter worlds in November two years ago, and had a couple games under the lights when temps dipped into the high 40's. Shattered in five places in our last game.

You know you shouldn't use them when it's that cool out, but when in a tournament, you hate "not" to use them when everybody else you are playing against is using them too.

Im 6ft3 and about 260 and i swing pretty hard.I still hit it a good ways so i was wondering how long a maxload may last me.I had a 30 oz that lasted at least 150 swings or more before breaking and i just came across a 28oz that i havent used yet.I had heard that the heavier bats may have lasted longer than the 28s.Has anyone else came across that?

I broke a 28 oz. maxload on the 1st swing I took with it. I took the wrapper off and stepped in the box and hit a line drive to left center and when I got back around the bases I seen that it was broke all the way around the barrel. It was 90 degrees when this happened. That was the last straw for me.

This will be my third year on the black ultra II, I love the bat. I have no idea how many swings I have on the bat. Three years use is good for me, I am satisfied. I have had broken, dented bats in the past on a regular basis and they were ASA bats. It was said the cryogenic bats would not dent years ago, so I bought one it dented first game. I will get a maxload from what some of you stated here just to try it out. If I find I can hit the ball better with that I will use it. Donny C

After not using the Mikens due to breakage I liked how the Max Loads felt and decided to try them once again.

I've had 6 - last year was abreviated due to back problems and I didn't start playing until September and kept it local - of the 6 I started with I have one 30 left. If I get 60 swings out of one seems to be about all it gets. Most broke between 30-45 swings. As much as they feel nice and have that Miken twack when you hit it on the screws I've moved on to other bats.
