Our association is weighing the acquisition of a bat tester. We'd like to hear any opinions or impressions -- pro or con -- about using a bat tester in local league play. Thanks in advance for your contributions.

Forget it at fhc here in Florida we test bats .150 and above ok to use.
I had a bat one day that tested 140 and another day depending on weather went to 165 because I knew I did nothing to it except it was 5 years old.
The testing machines are expenses and needs to be calibrated all the time.
What is stopping a bat tested ok and then player gets it shaved.
