Lots of controversy this year.
Several players called out for being out of the box when there was no box to begin with.
Bats being thrown out in the middle of games. This included California bats as well as Short Porch bats. Director said they had to have the ISA stamp but other didn't as well but were not illegal.
Individual players not allowed to play even though they met the criteria while other teams played with as many as 7 major players but played AAA. Not that team's fault.
Schedules were all over the place. This needs to be moved to a bigger complex which there are 2 fairly close.
Rant over

Midwest Championship isn't for a few more weeks, are you predicting the drama already? LOL.
Assuming you meant ISA Worlds.
Also assuming you are talking about the A's Reloaded team bringing Major+ players, we heard the same thing.

We didn't see any bats get thrown out nor did we see a single player called out for being out of the batters box even though we were warned by a few umpires that it would happen. We did see some good officiating and some terrible calls by the same umpire over and over again.

We did see some umpires enforce the pitchers can't wear shin guards while batting but most didn't enforce it or care when it was brought to their attention. The same ump who kept making bad calls tried to explain it away by saying if the abin guards are being held on by velcro as opposed to hooks or clasps the rules change but he didn't know which was they were allowed or disallowed. Not did he try to find out when pressed for an answer.

There were far less HRs hit this year over years passed even though the teams were way lower than normal and very low humidity. We were assured the new ISA Baden Fire ball was as good as the ISA Hot Dot they have hit in the past and in everyone's opinion wre spoke to its not in the same league.

Fields were in pretty good shape and gave times through early Saturday ran pretty much on time

If you made contact with your back foot in front of the mat your out easy call no box needed! Called different by some umpires not called by others all umpires were not on the same page that's the problem! Umpires are influenced by some teams and show unneeded authority on others! Plenty of weed if you needed to get high! Plenty of players not playing somewhere with their Major teams playing AAA or same class same age group! It doesn't matter if you have a roster of 13 guys there and 15 on the bench! I personally pointed out a Individual and they didn't care! It was a good tournament and had some of the best officiating all year can't be perfect but the little things can make it better!

We are registered as a Major team everywhere we play. If you know us, we don’t run from nobody. All we do is put the money up, show up and play. Address your complaints with the sanction. We don’t pick up guys, we have our roster and we play with it. There isn’t any surprise players that pop up on our roster. Furthermore, if you didn’t see them take our bats, you weren’t watching us like you mentioned. And also I seen at least 5 guys called out for stepping out of the box. And it wasn’t so much the box, it was the plate. Understanding is everything. And that happened in the championship game also.

A's
I didn't call out teams because it isn't on them. It's frustrating when you have a player on an approved roster but now isn't allowed to play because of an opinion, not facts. The player never played in what they said he did and hasn't been with that team in 2 years. Selective enforcement.
I'll play anyone in front of me.
My bad on the Midwest Championships title

A's, you have been registered as AAA in SSUSA since April of 2021.. This certainly can't be the first time you've shown up to a SSUSA event and played as a AAA team knowing you're supposed to be registered as a Major team.

Loved by Few hated by many. We turned in our roster just like everyone else. We tried to get in this tournament last year and was denied. We will play against anyone. I for one don't care because the pitch is delivered underhand. No one had anything to say when we loss the first game and barely won our pool play game. We had 13 guys and two of them were injured that played 9 games and I didn't have a backup pitcher. the 13th guy missed his ride and didn't show for the 4 on Sunday. We play where someone's opionin says you should play. I believe you move up when you win a World, so I guess we will see Showtime in Major next go around if the opinion of someone else say we have too.

The umpires had been warning coaches prior to the game all weekend about the back foot exceeding the plate and making contact. If your coach took the flip meeeting and didn't tell y'all there lies your problem. Every umpire has a thing and the one lady was observant on that violation. You don't need a box when there's a plate. The umpires are in on every play so sometimes misjudgement may be made. I didn' like the inconsistency of the 12 foot mark but I made adjustment to them. I tell you what I did observe, a lot of y'all talk real disrespectful to umpires and should have been tossed. Then you expect the 50/50 to go your way, by human standards you aren't getting that.

For anyone concerned, this is our first SSUSA which is why I spent the days prior reading all 128 pages of their rule book, whereas on 3 pertain to senior. Another dumb mistake can't in a game that everyone should know: The safety bag is only for your initial run to first base, therefore if a pitch is delivered and your standing on the saftety bag only then your leading off which is illegal and causes you to be out. YES loser bracket final that lesson was taught.

The only time in engage after the game is if there is prayer involved. My concern with Covid and physical contact is real, not to mention folks use the restroom without washing their hands (NASTY). This why I don't go do the fake shake after games. I will greet you before the game and I wish you well in health and life.

NO NEW FRIENDS... FLAV

8.4(1) • BATTER-RUNNER REACHING FIRST BASE
Each batter must reach first base without the aid of a courtesy runner. A double bag shall be used at first base, the double portion of the bag being in foul territory abutting first base. If there is a play on a batter-runner going to first base, the batter-runner must touch some portion of the double bag extending into foul territory. He will be called out if he fails to do so, except if, in the umpire's judgment, the batter-runner is avoiding a collision. The batter-runner simultaneously touching both portions of the double bag is permitted. This is NOT an appeal play. Important: The defending player has only the white base,in fair territory, to make the putout; his touch of only the bag in foul territory will not result in an out.

Once the batter-runner reaches first base, the double base shall be treated as one base and the fielder or runner may use either portion.

I stand corrected. This association allows the base to become one. Too bad I wasn't the only one that missed it. Anyway... I'm a talker that enjoys having fun while playing and some people can't handle how I like me. I like me a whole lot. At the end of day folks get frustrated and aim at me, most of time I field it and sometimes I don't but I never stop talking. Likely some undiagnoised mental issue, but I only get scared for the opposing pitcher not me because I have whole lot of protectors.

If your not playing with friends and having fun then why? I play buddy ball and I enjoy it. My buddies just happen to be able to play well.
