July 20 JohnO28 Men's 50 121 posts | I can't find the post anymore it was probably removed but there was a post about the fact that earlier in the year all the TOC had been moved to 4 GG games to keep the costs down. Then all the managers were sent an email asking whether or not they/their teams would like to keep it at the 4 games for the original posted pricing or bump it back to 5 games like it's always been but at a larger cost. If I remember correctly the vote was in favor of 5 games at the higher cost and then all the TOC would then remain 5 GG. If that's the case why is Columbus IN this weekend only a 4 GG? |
July 20 DaveDowell Men's 70 4326 posts | The Columbus, IN, tournament is sponsored and administered by the ISA (our sister association) ... It's not an SSUSA event ... They will have to be the ones to explain their tournament structure theory ... All SSUSA TOC qualifiers, and the TOC itself, are initially scheduled (weather permitting) for a 5-Game-guarantee ... |
July 20 JohnO28 Men's 50 121 posts | Thanks for the clarification on that, at the time the letter was sent out I don't remember it saying only SSUSA events just all TOC events. |
July 20 DaveDowell Men's 70 4326 posts | The unstated implication is "..TOC events administered by SSUSA.." ... We extend, as a professional courtesy, bids to the SSUSA TOC for the Champions of the ISA Senior World's (Columbus) and the SPN (Slo-Pitch-National) Canadian Provincial Championships ... Those entities are the sole decision makers on how they structure their own events ... |
