Quickscores
I mean no disrespect to SSUSA but why can’t they use Quickscores to update tournaments like the ISSA ? It’s nice to get updates so quickly.

No disrespect taken! ... QuickScores is a fine company and offers an outstanding product for the right customer ... In short, we are not that customer ... I have spent a LOT of time on this with their C.E.O./Principal Owner (Tim Quilici) and find him to be extremely knowledgeable, especially with his unique total grasp of our scheduling philosophy, and an enjoyable conversational counter-part ... The end result of those conversations, non-judgmentally, is that some of our larger three-game-guarantee (3GG) brackets, such as an 85-team 50-AAA bracket from the World's a few years back, and multiple 40+, 50+ and 60+ brackets aren't a good fit for the QuickScores product preferences ...

They favor, and are designed for larger brackets, around a 3-game RR into DE brackets, whereas we favor 2-game RR into 3GG brackets ... We prefer the 2RR/3GG structure because it generally requires less aggregate games, at least for brackets comprised of less than 90± teams, and game slots are an extremely precious commodity in the big events we run ... QuickScores does not (easily) handle the on-the-fly changes we make when conditional "If" games in the elimination brackets are not required, causing all subsequent games for that field for that day to be reassigned as to time and, occasionally, as to field itself ... They also don't have an interface that would allow our scores to flow directly to our master scoring and ratings database ... But that's OK, a multi-year effort here has been unsuccessful so far in that same endeavor! ... Please don't infer any criticism by us of QuickScores ... As we mentioned, we hold them in high regard for the smaller senior associations like you mentioned, but just aren't a good fit for us ...

Hi Dave!

Would it be possible to allow pictures to be uploaded to the message board -- even if limited to your tournament directors? That way someone can snap a picture of the brackets at the field and upload them here for those that are interested.

I know it would be a moderating nightmare to open it to all members, but there should be a way to set up certain members to have that ability.

I’ve been saying this for years. Director snaps a pic of the brackets at the end of each day and posts it on the board. So, so simple. And it’s been done here before.
