NO ... 50-Major has a "Rating Index" equivalent to 55-Major+, both are R/I=8 ... 55-AAA is R/I=6, two levels down ... In the same age group (55's) a player playing 50-Major may play 55-Major only as one of the three allowable "out of rating" players and MAY NOT play two rating levels down as 55-AAA ...
