Looking to join a 70's team in Las Vegas or Henderson. Never played senior ball.I currently play at BLD in a 18 and over league. Played hardball and softball most of my life.
Infield and pitch.
Bixel, may I give you a little input? 18+ and 70+ are extremely different. Since you have never played senior softball, I know that it is hard to imagine. If you can play infield in 18+, you probably would be an asset in the oufield in 70+. It is nothing like playing outfield against young guys. On the offense side, the bats are much hotter. You would probably be an asset as a courtesy runner. You also do not want to make the classic senior rookie mistake. Never touch the plate to score. There will be a line or extra scoring plate instead depending on the field. Anyway you might want to at least talk with Skate if you haven't already because not a lot of 70s use the Internet. I have a couple of them here that call me and ask me to do it for them. Good luck. It's fun to play with kids your own age.
Come out to Lorenzi park Field 4 Tuesday morning at 7:30 am. Ask for Chuck Godman. Game starts at 8am and you can see if you measure up with the skill sets you see on the field. Good luck.
Thanks Nancy Allen and VegasBob.
I'll try to make it to Lorenzi Tues.
I used to play softball at Lorenzi in the sixties when it was called Twin Lakes.
