Travel Team
I am a 52yr old female and have been playing since age 6.I have played travel ball since i was 10.I have played in at least 10 world tournaments.Im looking for a women’s travel team that plays more than one tournament every couple of months.I was just inducted into the mid ohio valley softball hall of fame in april 2018.I am looking for a womens tournament team that needs a pitcher/all around position player.I am a very committed team player and I play like im in my twenties.I will always give no less than 110% all of the time.I play coed a division until fall and then i play womens.I am very laid back and easy to get along with.I don’t do drama at all because it’s a waste of negative energy.I am a team player who has had an amazing career.I love softball and it’s my passion to not only be respectful on the field but off the field as well.I came very close to losing my right arm due to an accident.Dr’s told me I would never have use of it.I over came those odds and worked very hard day in and day out because no dr was going to tell me my career was over.Through the strength of my family, friends, myself and god I overcame.I am a fighter when someone tells me I can’t do something well that is my motivating to prove not only them wrong but to show myself.Thank You for your time and you can reach me at 513-376-3823.So give me a call and a chance to play the sport I admire.Hope to hear from you. Jill Barber. I live in West By God Virginia(WV)

softballwoman1, senior women's teams and tournaments are often hard to find, but the advice that I would offer is to use this site to help you. If you go to ratings, and go to 40+ Women, and click State, you can see all of the SSUSA teams registered. I will ask the office why there is not a break out on age. There were a few teams in the states that touch yours that you could be eligible to play on. There were 2 Virginia teams that played this weekend, a 50 and a 40. I don't know if Tim McElroy is familiar with either of them or the other registered teams, but I would think that there would be a way to get them your information. Unfortunately I do not know a lot about the women's teams, but I hope someday that we can have a team from Indiana.

There are no state border rules in the women's program.

Dbax, thank you. I think I knew that at some point, but we almost never deal with women's teams here. I will go review women's requirements to not make any other errors. I am hoping that a couple of girls that I am working with will get us the first senior woman team from Indiana in the next couple of years. We could use a couple of bat men if we can do this. 😎

softballwoman1, I did check with the office, and all women's teams are listed under one tab because there are not a lot of them. I will try to help you if you have questions about their age group and how often they play SSUSA. I have some thoughts if you want to do some research. You are welcome to call me if this is something that you would be interested in.

Nancy, the office is wrong on this one. The only women's teams listed in the ratings are 40's. No other ages are listed.

Dbax, I would love to talk with you because you know so much about this. I talked with the office again, and you are so right. That tab only has 40+ women's teams because they were the only ones being rated. The first thing that I did was look at a tournament this weekend with one of the teams that I told her about which was a 50s team, and as you said, they were not there in the list. I guess that they have just started rating some 50s teams, and that might end up being a tab next. Like I said, I would not mind having a conversation. Now I am going to guess that you know where to find my phone number on this site, but it is definitely public knowledge and is 317-372-1234. Thank you for keeping all of us straight.
