Discussion: In Need Of An ASA Bat

Well I need to buy an ASA approved bat as it appears my Worth Legit is not legal in ASA play.
What are some of the best ASA approved bats out there? Thanks.
I have an ASA Miken Ultra bat. But only used it in BP. I would be willing to sell it cheap at 50.00.
What oz is it? I like a 26oz.
I believe it is a 26oz. If I am not playing tonight, I can check out the weight tonight. I can also send you a pic if you have a cell phone that can accept pics. I never played in a ASA tour but I had this bat about two to three years.
I'd be interested in seeing pics, 704-983-3251. Thanks.
Depends what balls you will be using. If using the 52's the Freak52 is a hot performer
Thanks Fred. The balls are probably 52 core. I read and liked the reviews on this bat. Don't much like the neon green color though, but I could get over that real easy while standing on base.
I bought the first one last year. After trying mine at least a doz players got one.

Your in luck as the are black this year and come in balanced or end loaded.

Tempted to get a 30 oz Balanced as my 30 oz end loaded is starting to drag a little in the 2nd game.
I get that 30oz drag during the 2nd game. I like balanced better and a 26oz at that. Now to search for a reasonable price.
might want to try the demirini flipper hit's everything
I have tried dropping down in weight but just can't get comfortable with a lighter bat. I have a 27 oz Freak52 that I keep trying but keep going back to my 30.

The 2 best bats, in my humble opinion, for ASA using the 52/300 ball is the 2015 Miken DC41 Denny Crine DEN41U 2 piece bat & the Combat Casey Rogowski Team bat. They both crush the 52/300 ball.
Thanks Fred,Neck10,Tri18 and Mark44, I'll check all these out.
looking for a good asa endloaded model any suggestions. Thanks
dancer 231-218-4787 interested in asa miken
dancer rickeymcdowell@gmail.com I have ton's of asa bats it all depend's on what ball your league uses
IMO the Demarini Flipper Aftermath is straight fire. I have swung it for the past 3yrs using both 52/300 & 44/375 Softballs. It kills both balls, but just to warn you it was developed mainly to hit the 52/300 balls. The 44/375 balls shorten the bats life span dramatically. The bat also needs very little if any break in time. Straight winner. You won't go wrong with the 2013/2014/2015 models. Demarini nailed it with these bats. Hope this helps. Ps remember just stick to hitting 52/300 balls and you will have it when you need it. Good luck
I"ve been playing in two Florida ASA senior softball leagues year round for several years and in FHC for 18 years. I swing the ASA Miken Freak 52 Maxload and the ball jumps off this bat. Several players also have the Freak 52 and absolutely love it. I've heard from a few players that have the Louisville Slugger Z3000 and they have nothing but good things to say about that bat. Dick's Sporting Goods has the Z3000 on their website for $129 with a one year warranty.

If my Miken Ultra II endload two piece would break during a FHC Tournament,I'd have no problem using the Miken Freak 52...just sayin
Update....The Z3000 is no longer available on the Dicks Sporting Goods website...sorry
Just curious, what makes a particular bat better or worse for the 52 ball?
Alan
Will be playing in senior ASA league.
They use 44/374 SB 12's cork center.
Can I use a bat rated for 52 cor?
I play in a ASA 55+ league. The majority of the big hitters use a black 26 oz. 2014 Demarini Juggernaut!!!! Hot bat!!! Takes about 100 hits to break it in.
