Discussion: How many active 60 Major Plus teams for 2013?

john
We know how your team feels. We was in the same way most of the year with injuries from having to play the 50 majors and major plus in many tournaments and with guys that had to have runners take it toll on the rest of the team. Most teams runners are the outfielders and they just get tired by the 5th inning and you play 5 or 6 games they are running on fumes.
We only brought 11 to Vegas this year and I came in from the outfield and had to pitch. We dividing up to other teams so we can still play for the 2013 season and will try to group in 2014 we have 4 58 year old guys moving up.
best of luck to all of the Master Collision guys hope to see you all on the field soon

I guess i will have to follow suit and say that the Crystal Pharmacy Team will not be together next year. we are all going to different teams on the east coast. Audie's team has one of them. The Memphis Edge that played 60 major last year and finished second in Dalton and 3rd in Vegas will pickup 2 or 3 of our players and will be playing Major Plus next year in SPA because of the IP list and I guess SSUSA will follow suit. goose will play 55 ball again with Hendricks Team I will go and play with Clatter and the boys from Va. and I don't have to pitch like in vegas.. Bruce is going back to 50 major and play again with southern elite team. The rest I am helping finding some places to play.
so if there is any Major 60's or 55 teams there looking there are several real good player out there.
I have an appeal in with SPA in hoping the AAA players we pickup just last year may be able to return and play at that level again. Ridge is going to look at this for these players at our annual board meeting in Dallas in Dec.
good luck and see you on the ballfield.

I would just like to echo what a great staff and umpires we the Crystal Pharmacy had. The Feild was a little rough but the grounds crew worked hard after each game to make the best they could.
Congrat to Audie and the group from Hollis on their Championship, we see them all year and this is the first tourney we did not play them. Great group of guys and even pickup big arm John to help them.
We played MTC 3 times and was lucky to come out on top in very close games EVEN with me pitching. Another group that are gentlemen win or lose.
Getting together and playing a world class tourney is great but seeing old friends like Bogie, Steve, Bobby, Pat Mac, Spoon, Billy Bates, the Group from KC and the Ca.Teams And in the parking lot the great Stoneman made my weekend that and not getting hit Pitching.
Good talking to Terry and Fran about the future of Senior softball was great.

Discussion: obscure rules?

here is one the made look again
3. Major-Plus players (from the current or previous seasons) cannot
play on AAA or AA teams.

If this is the rule SSUSA use in there tournaments they must have a cutoff date in place where players van filter down, for I see at least 8 to 10 former Major Plus players playing AAA in the Southern tournament in Brimingham this coming weekend, maybe the is a cutoff date does anyone know how a player gets off the list? I know in SPA they have to have a Medical reason by letter only,

SSUSA STAFF LOOK AT THESE AAA ROSTER there are several former MAJOR PLUS player that I have played with these same players over the last several years that have filter down to AAA level. almost all of the has made the all=tournament teams @ the highest level now they won't play. Look at their rosters HoF players and all american then go the SPA and SSUSA sites see their names and their lever of play

SSUSA Staff by your early statement the SINGLETON TEAMS wins in the 55/60 birth are awarded by top finishing team. what about the singleton teams in the 60's playing 2 of 3 they are both singleton team with respect to their level of play. still runs or player is given to the lower team not one bit different by your own rule of playing down or up. My question why do these team tell staff we won't come and play by your rules.
SSUSA AND SPA should tell these teams to stay home they are ruining softball, look at what happen in flat belly ballDON'T IT HAPPEN IN SENIOR BALL

it has been that way all year where some of the better AAA ALMOST major teams dodge playing older teams. Even in the SPA tournament where you play the lower division rules where AAA hrs are limited to 3 and outs where it would help the lower seat teams. ALL this does it puts the upper level teams with no where to play at all. I for one can't see how ths staff in SSUSA allows this in there National tournaments, JUST TELL THE UPPER LEVEL TEAMS THAT THE 55 TEAMS ARE AFRAID OF PLAYING YOUR TEAM. then we can save our money and play in Vegas. Most the major and m-plus teams live in several different state and drive a long way,

Discussion: SPA Question????

The only one that can answer that one is Ridge. the SPA board are meeting in Dallas Nov 17th to discuss alot of things that gone wrong this year. Without Ridge being present sometimes the change of command is sometimes not as good when problems arise because you are spending money that not yours to spend.
Myrtle Beach is a prime example when fields was taken at the last second. We had to jump thur so many hoops with the city and the responseable person and try to find other fields out in the county so we could just hold the tourney because the teams were already there or coming in with hotel already paid for. In the past Ridge would go and do all the footwork himself and make sure everything is correct and not trust others to do it for him.
this another thing will be talked about in Dallas along with many other subjects.
