| Jan. 9, 2014 TAT22 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: suggestions to stop all the complaining about home runs & dead ball outs The bottom line is that the DBO is the rule for 2014, I wish all the talk about it would just stop! Revisit it at the rules meeting next year, SSUSA is going to want a full season of implementation first before changing anything, they want to see how it effects the game this year. Yes I totally agree with PattyMac, the only reason they brought the rule in was to shorten the games. |
| Dec. 26, 2013 TAT22 | Topic: Bats Discussion: Time to eliminate senior bats Turbo, if there are "middle wars" with the new DBO rules, I would like to think that the players of senior softball would have matured enough not to have them. Reactions are slower and you state that with the homeruns gone that guys are going to blast the middle or take an infielders head off! I say if guys start playing that way, I won't boycott, I will take care of it after the game on a personal level. |

| June 30, 2013 TAT22 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Major Plus I think that SSUSA should mirror the divisions like baseball does, AA, AAA, Major. Even in regular associations i.e. U-trip, ASA, NSA no Major+. I also think that a majority of the Major teams could compete with the plus teams, I would like to see the divisions combined in every tournament going forth, except Worlds in Vegas this year where there seems to be enough plus teams, then just ELIMINATE the plus all together next year and you will have plenty of teams in each division for ALL your tourneys. |
| June 21, 2013 TAT22 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Cal Cup & Western Nationals I guess SSUSA should really look at the Major+ program, they really don't get enough teams in a majority of their tournaments, take this year for example. No Major+ in Spring Worlds, 2 teams in Southwest Championships and 4 in Rock 'n Reno! Pretty sad in the end. I think they should just combine the Major+ and Major teams and just make ONE program called Major. 8 HR's per game 6 runs per inning after HR's are done they are walks bottom line more teams in a single division and makes it worth while to travel and spend the money, including taking time off work. |

Starting out with a Major team this year, hope to make it to M+ next year. My brother plays on a M+ team and I hope to play with him again or against him as we live in different states. |

Since you've been playing with the younger guys till this year, you should try to get on a 50M or 50M+ team.
