It seems teams are allowed 2 out of state players if they have not hit their maximum roster spots. The caveat being, the out of state player has to be on the same side of the Mississippi. I am out of Florida so relegated to teams east of the Mississippi. I had two teams want me to play in Vegas, but both were west. I am still looking for a AAA team that needs a player for Vegas. I will already be there and have paid my own way so no cost to team. I am rated AAA for SSUSA, but actually play Major 50's with MaxBatz out of Florida, they didn't register SSUSA this season. | Aug. 15, 2024 Fenway9999 | Topic: Players looking to join a team Discussion: Looking for 50+ AAA Team for Vegas in September I currently Play on MaxBatz Major 50+ team out of Florida for ISSA and ProAm. Play for Evies in FHC. I qualified for SSUSA Vegas on a AAA 50+ with Primetime Softball a couple weeks ago in KC. Primetime team has decided not to go to Vegas and there are no more qualifiers in time. I spoke to the SSUSA Corporate and was told since my team wasn't going I could join another team as long as they are not at their limit of players. I am going to Vegas no matter what as my room and flights are all booked and paid for. If I end up a spectator and just a vacation so be it, but throwing it out there that I could play and help a team. I don't count as a major player due to my main team not registering with SSUSA this year, I am AAA rated. I play 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and pitch and can get references if needed on my level of play to help a team. If a team in Florida or touches Florida (per the rules) is looking for someone for Vegas give me a shout. |

Was playing ProAm as well before switching teams (Avalon Ins). Currently not playing in ISSA/USSSA/TPSSA. I would like to find a team playing in those associations and that does plan to play in some travel tourneys out side of Florida where I am. I will be 54 in August, so when new season starts end of this year I could play 55's. I play 1st, 3rd, P, & C currently and can hit it pretty well. I also play in the Venice FL Gold 50+ league with a lot of guys who already play on travel teams (Florida Onyx, MAXBats, etc) who could offer an opinion on my playing level if need be. Played USSSA in MA for a very long time and as high as B/C. Haven't played since 2017, but now in league with the kids in Sarasota to get swings and pitch. I live in Venice, FL. |
