Discussion: spinal fusion

I had C6, C7 fusion in 1989 at age 44. I chose to have bone shaved from hip to fuse the vertebrae. I was back playing softball in 6 months.
I had a second sugary in 2000 to trim the disc between L4 and L5 at age 55. No fusion necessary. I was back playing in three months?
I was playing softball again in 3 months later and am still playing at age 66. I also have a outstanding Chiropractor?

Discussion: The Passing of Steve Simmons

Steve Simmons welcomed me to the Minnesota Masters 55 team in 2000 when I was moving to Minnesota from California. He was a joy to play with as well as against in later years. I always looked for Steve whenever my team traveled to play, and I was always met with that big, warm smile of his. I last saw him in Phoenix last October. We played against each other
I met Steve in softball and I will sincerely miss him on the softball field, but I will for as long as I live miss his friendship and that warm smile of his.
I have no doubts that he is with our Lord, and the Lord smiled at Steve the same way Steve smiled at us.
My prayers go out to Nancy and the entire Simmons family along with Steve's entire Minnesota family of friends.
