Hi Curveball, it is 5 or less you have to move up for three tourneys and then you can try to get rerated, if you have 6 or more, you have to stya for a whole year before you can apply for a a rerating, regardless on how you do in the higher division.

I thought with three or less they didnt move you up, but I guess i was wrong ,when Dave Dowell called me he said three or more,so I guess they will move you up,This is all i know about it right or wrong i dont know for sure now.

DRob, that is a very good question, the rule book does not cover this one either,it says this.

A.player is playing in two age divisions. Example-one team is in 55+ and the other is in 60+ division AND

B. A player can only play on a team in the same skill level, or one skill level higher or lower, Example, a player in a 55 Major Division team cannot play on a 50 AA division team.

Major Plus player can only play on Major or Major Plus teams.

so this is what the rule say about playing down, it has no rule for playing up in age, unless i am not reading this one right.

Maybe Dave Dowell can answer this on also. it is a little confusing and I have been ask it several times also.

My self I think you would be ok, you are within one skill level, regardless of age anyone else with a opinion on this

Thanks to Dave Dowell for calling me at home and answering my question, the answer is if you won a major tourney, like SPA in Dalton, Isa , ASA, NSA with three or more teams, this year, you will be moved up and the new rating starts with the Ft.Myers winter nationals. and if you play one game in the major division,I would also imagine it for AAA also, you will hold that distinction for 2 years. Thanks again Dave for making it clear to me and some of my teammates. Rabbit, Job Central/Indy 60's formerly coach of the Indiana Classics 50's for 12 years

I am asking this question today, just to make sure I have the answer correct, some of my players are wanting to know for sure.
I know when you win a big tournement in pne of the 6 or 7 organizations, you will have to play up in the next highest division, We won the 60 AAA in the ISA this season, and we are planning to go to Ft.Myers in Nov. and it is listed as a 2011 roster tourney, Will the SSUSA make us play Major in this tourney or still can play AAA?, that is one question, and if we have to play in the Majors and this one reads a lot of ways ,if you play in a 60 Majors game,in Nov at Ft Myers can you still play 60 AAA or 60 AA next season on another team. They ask me to post this, to make sure .This rule is confusing at times. Thanks for any answers, Rabbit # 32, Job Central/Indy 60's

Hey Mel, they will post the schedule Tuesday night according to the web site, and most likley most teams will start playing at 10 am on Thursday morning, when they usually start the tourney, at least this has been the way Ridge has did it in the past. Good luck, wish I could be there, Rabbit

Discussion: What's the thought on Heartland NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Hitman, it was nice putting a face to a name in Chattanooga, you are a very good pitcher in my book, as far as the tourney, what a mess, I agree with you on the fields and and the rest of the park, they were great, and would be a great place for a National tourney, balls were very good, umpires, were for the most part good, some had a hard time seeing.

I did not like the way they did the mat at all, didnt even make sense or even why?, 50 feet is too close with these bats , the hour and a half time limit was too much in 94 degree heat, with unlimited runs, games lasted forever, like you said, had to play 3 in a row and finsh a day early for some unknown reason, most of us were on empty Friday afternnon.
Then on Friday they change to runs limits (7) and no open inning??? then the next game they had a open inning, To say the least it was not well organized and I know Herb was in the hospital, so I guess they guys that took over only had 3 days to get it ready, I was told.So they did the best they could in a very short time. They told me,Herb was doing it all him self and they didnt know what he had done or said he was going to do.
They were just trying to get it done, and they had a lot of teams drop out at last minute, and some even left after playing a game or two,They also move teams up,and some down I was told.
This was their story to me.

Again, it was a pleasure meeting you and having a chance to play against you and your very good team,The Express

you can almost bet since the rosters are open, there fore the teams will be unknown with new names to hide who they really are. so the teams will be loaded, with players from everywhere.

I might be wrong, but I don't think so, Rabbit

The Indy 60's won the 60 AAA, we beat the Chicago Bobcats 20-8 in the final game to win the tourney,Bobcats finished second, then Big Daddy's.Indiana legends, from Indianapolis finished third. Legacy from Illinois finished 4th I think, then Doc Martins, from Michigan might be reversed on these two. Rabbit
