Discussion: Sadness

This is my very first post here. It is with sadness and heavy heart to post this but I feel it is worthy. I have always been a huge supporter of SSUSA and their ideals. But this weekend at the Crabtown Classic in Glen Burnie, MD was not eve remotely fair. SSUSA allowed a 6o AAA team, absolutly should be at least a major or better team, but that's another discussion, to pick up a new player and add to their roster on game day at the park. Supposedly before the first pitch of the tourney but that is questionable after talking with three other managers. I wanted to add a player one week before and the rosters were to be closed according to the website. After two separate emails I was allowed to add but through some persistence. The player they were allowed to add was not even a regular average player but a premier hitter for average and homeruns. There was absolutely no fairness in this to the other teams as that team had players on the bench available and did not need a body. My feelings and respect for the integrity of SSUSA and their views on senior softball have certainly changed. As a so called leader and example in Senior Softball they did a very poor job in their decision. This will certainly affect our tournament selections in the future.
