The above is true. Before S/N stickers that you now have to keep to send a broken bat back, that was how they marked warranty returns.

Discussion: Question for Dave/ SSUSA Staff..I have a 30oz senior bat and want a 28oz endload, can you send to manufacturer to change?and be legal

I can only share my experience. Monsta has a re-weighing program that you can send you bat in to change the weight but only to a weight that that particular model was made in. I had a bat changed with no issues. If Demarini is willing to do that it could only be made in weights that model was made in but not change, for instance, a balanced bat to an endloaded one as that does not conform to that model as it was manufactured. I have not ever heard of a major bat company offering this that I can remember.

Discussion: miken Freak Black ASA maxload 2016

The simple answer to your last question is yes, hitting a 44 cor ball with a bat designed for the 52 cor ball, it will not last very long. Most of the ASA only bats of the last few years are made specifically for the 52/300 ASA ball. There are a few out there that will be fine with both balls, Anarchy bats and Boombah Boss come to mind. NSA used a 52/275 ball the last few years as well and what I have found is that a good stiff bat that you generate good bat speed with will do just fine on the 52s. I used my 28 and 29oz Reebok Barrage and 28 Worth EST utrip bats on the 52s and did fine with them. The 2016 Miken will be good for both balls by the way, the 2017 models were the start of the 52 only technology.

Discussion: Metro in Indy

This has been my favorite night of the week to play, hopefully the league can go on, even though it needs a new venue....Very sad to hear Metro is closing. Maybe they can find a buyer....

Discussion: What Became of 30+ Ounce Bats?

New to the site and 2 years from playing 50s:) I remember the video from Ray Demarini and we had mentioned swing the heaviest bat you can maintain your bat speed after contact. He said Larry Carter barely lost any when swinging a 29oz bat where he lost a lot. I've always swung 28-30oz bats since the composite bats came out. I tend to stick to balanced bats but even I have dropped to 27-27.5 as I've gotten older. From the things I've been told most manufacturers stopped making 30oz bats due to demand. You'd see the heavy ones dirt cheap and hard to sell. Been hanging around the message board for a while and play in a Sr league here in Indy (wish there were some 40 or 45 tournies close)but excited to get to play Sr tournament ball in a couple of years. 2 more years with the kids;)
