Discussion: Miken Durability

I play in the 40's and I have a friend who has broken 5 Maxloads. I know that some think 40's shouldn't use senior bats but most of our guys do. I still use a freak plus that I know wont crack in 50-60 swings. We played in Sparks and I saw 3 Mikens break also. For $200 it is a joke that they break this easy. I just got a new senior bat that came to the market recently and will try to post my review soon.

Discussion: Ultra Maxload durability

Hello all,
Just wondering how many swings your U2 Maxload has or had on it. Have been hearing that they are breaking a lot.
Is the Senior MM a better bet as far as durabilty and close to the pop of a U2 in your opinion ??

Thanks in advance !

Played my first tourney in Carson City this year at the Rockin Reno. Had a blast and love that everyone is there to have a great time. I play with a lot of younger guys and the teams we play against always seem to be talking trash to everyone. It was a relief to play in Carson. We used a Trump Stote and seemed to a great ball. I know that 40's are not Seniors but it sure seems like it when you play with a bunch of 20 year olds...

Discussion: LTB/LTT for Flex and Extended

Fyi- the store softballfans.com has the extended for $199 and the Flex is still $299. This is where I have found good deals for bats .

Discussion: rate these bats.

A couple of good bats are the Synergy 2 which is a work horse and needs break in time but is a great bat abnd cheaper than the Freak 100. Also the Easton Flex and the Extended are great too. Or the Original Crush is a good choice but hard to find in good shape as they kinda get flat after awhile especially of you are a masher !
Freak 98 is good too but needs a lot of bp like the Synergy 2.

Hope it helps..
